  1. I get it now but had to ask sort of thing ,by the way i myself bred 2 plummer pups, got them docked, chipped and jabbed and redg'd(about £150 per pup) gave one to an very old mate and sold one £200(kids and misses had the money)and still drove a round trip of 150 odd miles to meet the new owner so didn't make a penny out of them in fact lost money but cash ain't what it's all about.Like you say would be hard to police but might save a few dogs doing the rounds and empty some pens in the dogs homes,so could be a good thing but how long before they get tougher towards the working dog side of thi
  2. Sorry toka but if you think THAT if the working lads stick together then those breeding for cash will soon be out of business(breeding for cash or breeding and calling it progresion for the breed and not your own use is a very thin line imo) then your wrong especialy if they get the kc bit,the price WILL rise for pups and whats all this you will need certificates to breed and dna bit.If i want a litter from my plummer i will and how on earth can you also agree with me with dogs not being able to get papers then come out with b*ll*cks and restrictions like that and what other ideas gaining stre
  3. Lived up the road from him a few years ago and when he bought his new farm he had a few of the cottage tennents evicted so the film crews could stay in them,i knew one family who lost a lot through him and he has done feck all for the locals and him and his cronies are just middle classed country want a be's.Seen the prices in his restraunts ,imo a leach on country ways and just out to make a good buck.
  4. I'm up for it,instead of one stop the city we could do a few marches in different cities,we gotta do something.Christ even the french do more than us about unjust laws and we know there the biggest quiters in europe.
  5. Good to see the old fella still out and about, grand bit of ground for you all.
  6. Cracking little pup, will have to get over and see her soon.
  7. My bitch would see and warn me of people about in the field well before i knew they were there hackles up and a slight growl,at home well not over barky but she'd let you know if someone was about.Other dogs ,well she did have a bit of a problem and at times would turn into a screaming banshee and make me look like i had no control over a dog at all, just depended on how she was feeling .Without a doub't she'd have laid her life down for me so was worth it looking a fool at times with her.
  8. Ain't going to go on here but the border, lakeland, russell and even the fox terrier are all kc'd and there's a good few of these still gettig soil on the backs week in,week out.Didn't used to like the thought of the kc bit but like i said due to the inter redg bitching a few lads are being excluded from getting a traceable history for their dog,but still the kc bit won't happen anyway as the kc have told them to make a approach in one united way and they can't even do that with the redg'ing of the dogs .
  9. Not bad for a old hippy traveller eh ,do i win it then .
  10. A queenie stove but it's missing the top plate cover(looks like a iron bra lol),i'd be carefull burning pine or any other wood that spits. They've burnt a wagon or two down over the years mate, very pretty though.
  11. Puts our own problems in a different light does that, may he fly with those high birds. God bless young un.
  12. Think the KC bit is more to do with the wishes of a dead man than anything else but i'll put my head on the line and say at least if they did get the KC bit at least a few of the dogs would get a tracable pedigree instead of the clubs refusing to recognise each others dogs so refusing paperwork due to out of date bitching between them all.A lot will scoff at the thought of pedigree's but most of folks on here would like a tracable historyof their dogs be they terriers or whatever type.
  13. . Plummer owner who has heard it all before and really don't give a sh*t
  14. Your right steve here we go again ,did write a longer reply to this but to be honest i can't be fecked with it.But i will say how it is amazing how folks can know so much about a breed by owning just one of them and the single handed bit, well don't know about everyone else but thats how you should work ANY sort of terrier isn't it? and if you have to double yours up then my friend i'm afraid you've still got shite in your kennels. .
  15. Made me chuckle that write up Comanche, the acd dam of the pups i reared was a bit the same. She lived out and had the run of my garden being around my chooks and ferret court with no problem until the pups arrived, then she'd bite at the ferret court wire let them out and then find great plessure in joining in with them on a raid into my chook run .When the pups were up and about and put into a run she'd take it as her daily project to chew holes in the shed wall and let the pups out,not her she'd sit there like butter wouldn't melt almost saying "puppies eh ",She had a sly streak with anythin
  16. Putting rats and a dog in a wheely bin?,FFS .Don't go down this old out of date road, just let it be a pup and it'll come to it's own in it's own time.In time just let it hunt about where it might come upon a rat or whatever you want it to hunt and let it's instincts cut in,but let it be a puppy first.
  17. Little cracker mate and best of luck with him
  18. Well done bud and a better night than mine, soaked before i even got out the village and the dog ran like a knacker,10 runs,1 fecking bunny ,well some you win eh?.
  19. Good point there with the bone bit mate and i agree with you on a sencible debate not doing any harm ,i myself do a lot of bushing/moochig about and only a couple of weeks ago watched my better halves lurcher hit a tree at full speed and i must admite my heart sank and i said to the lads with me"not a again "but she got up although it was the end of the night with her she is up and running again now.Now if it was a heavier dog the impact could of been a lot worse and it was imo due to her being a light weight lurcher that she is still here but i myself do like a bit of bone in a bushing/mooc
  20. Good questions to ask Endgame, the litter i raised as i've said before came from a rescued acd,she was brought back to health by a mate and used to join us out mooching about.During this time she showed us some traits that we liked, she'd bush like a terrier, used her nose well and never ever tierd, she was so loyal and went out of her way to please us.She wasn't over guarding but wouldn't ever let a strange dog get between us and her, totaly steady with my kids, easly house trained for a 2 year old dog and after a lot of resaerch from other people who have owned this cross before she was mated to p
  21. Had a couple of sorties mate and found a few holes but no one at home yet but the weathers getting better for us now so won't be long,as for the likes of wilf well the faggot talk he comes out with says it all don't it .
  22. I'm affraid not mate, the acd bitch wasn't mine and i found a new home(polo pony stables in the new forest, with 2 other acd's) for her after the pups left.Might take me some time to find another but great things come to those that wait
  23. Endgame mate i won't be owning a lurcher untill i find a acd or kelpie x,my bitch i lost was the nearest thing i ever seen or read about to an old school pot filling/mooching/companion dog. She'd see someone a mile away and let me know they were there, she'd catch a ferreted rabbit, bend a hare as good as anything else i've seen given she was a 1/2 cross(within a 100 yrd slip),brought back pigeons live, retrieve cwd single handed and without doubt she'd have put her life on the line for me without question.Might sound i'm being a bit wet about her but she really was a first class bitch in the maki
  24. Just a few pics of what my bitch turned into before i lost her. the last pic i ever took of her. gutted but she died doing what she loved doing, those cwd. Must say it was the end of sept when i lost her and not the month ago i thought .
  25. Was just looking for this old thread yesterday,i lost my acdx bitch about a month ago and still miss her.She shattered her fore leg and would have been 3 legged at best and as she wouldn't have coped with being left at home so i had her pts, have to say she was the best pup/dog i've ever owned and if i had the chance i'd swop all my other dogs for her back and not loose sleep over it.Caterpillers young dog is with a mate of his as he was a bit to on guard while he was at work but the dog is doing very, very well .I'm off to look at a litter of kelpie/collie x lurcher pups as soon as i can, just
