Not one of the natural ponds round me in south norfolk is any where near pre dought hight,another few weeks might get them topped back up but i doub't it.One thing is the water meadows are finaly under water for the first time in over a year and they need a good flooding to be what they are,bit sunny here today mind and aren't the bunnies out in numbers getting fed without a soaking.

Well done and look luck they make it to sticks,have had all the 4 redpoll eggs hatch and the goldies have started to mess with nesting stuff but still yet to see them feeding each other or other bonding behavour.

National Trust did the same with Stonehenge,it was given to them on 3 conditions,no one builds within a set distsnce,never charge more than a shilling for entry and no one is even refused entry.Do you really think they'd not cash anything in for profit to keep dead folks happy?.

Don't do the shooting bit myself but was speaking to a local keeper the other week and he swears by a cub call this time of year,he had a electronic one and he was telling me he called a dog fox in with a cub call and the thing came in so fast it hurt it's leg as it jumped down from some bails,mind you the 243 cured it's limp .If you need a terrier to shift any you find to ground Mark,you know where i am .

It's not illegal if it's put up to prevent drafts rather than harm a bop,same as a bright yellow canary in a cage with a fish tank placed over the top to protect it from drafts,all legal mate .If a spar is stupid enough to fly into it then so be it but it ain't illegal,it's only illegal if you deliberatly set out to capture or harm a bop,prevention like veg bird mesh and fishing line strung up is fine.

Make that 2 chicks so far under the redpoll,but it seems i've had another visit from the sparrow hawk and am a fledgling mule down which is out of the irish hen and was a goldie mule as are the others i wasn't sure about.Lutino greenie dumped her last egg out the nest as well this morning,win some,loose some as they say.

Yes clipper an outside aviary,silver hen to a normal cock and she's down on her second clutch of 4 eggs.The cocks still topping up the youngsters but i've seen them feeding themselves on a few different things now so there away really,there my stepson's birds and they were given to him to get him started and interested in the birds and with them going great guns it's working and he's learning by the best way possible and thats by just sitting and watching it happen in front of him.

That fella either had a car or don't live far,he had no coat on and it's been raining and cold allmost everywhere this last week so he would have been wearing a coat usally.He also had no lead so had something to put it into like a motor of sorts,should ask locally about vans or cars being driven off that night from behind the house.Rolled in chicken wire with a paving slab for bouyancy for dog thieves imo,they won't do it again.

I've had some mules fledge but god knows what the sire is as they look very much like the redpoll chicks that fledged the week before but the mules are bigger,will have to wait till the colour on them sorts itself out as they could be any of 3 types of native sire.My goldies are still not doing anything but had some grand new that a fine fella is letting me have his siskin cock so my hen who's calling for a mate will be as happy as i am.Got 2 canary hens down mule eggs,redpolls on 4 eggs,lutino greenie on 1 egg(might put it under a mule hen thats nested and set the greenie off again for a full

Dogs don't need boosters,none of mine ever get them and they kill hundreds of rats every year,never had a problem with lepto but there's so many strains of lepto it's hardly worth jabbing them against it anyway. Boosters are a vet scam to get you to pay more money on a yearly basis,get them done when there pups and thats all thats needed.

Know what you mean Bird and thats why i asked as well,i think it could be lost,watered down to much what ever way you want to put it with a 3/4 bred.Caterpillers dog is a strong dog,not musle bound,but can run on any gorund any where type strength,feet you need some rum old stuff to cut up and mental strength to stay on the ball when the going gets slow but saying that i feel if crossed to a big greyhound to much of it MAY be lost.I know the proof is in the pudding as it were and i may well be wrong hence asking those that know but thats what i think anyway .

So CW what did you make of the 1/4 bred ACD x ?,i myself although they bring plenty of strong points to the lurcher do think it could very easly be lost if bred out to much so to speak.

I've binned more eggs than have hatched,early sun did mess with their heads but it should start getting into place now it's the proper time for them.
