  1. Get him up come winter and we'll have some time out with his litter sister, she's sharp and fast and can't wait to see her sticking to one like glue Should add they both look in fine fettle and your pup sure looks built for it mate.
  2. Last line says it all Moll .
  3. Same as you johnny, say it as it is and not all is good in the plummer terrier that much is so true but i do think a whippet x could bring to the table a bit more than either dog could bring. It'd improve the nose no end of the whippet and give the plummer that bit of pace it lacks for bolting rabbits when ferreting.I'll never do it myself as i don't need to but i would have a day out with a x like this as imo i think it'll be a handy dog IF BRED FROM THE RIGHT STUFF to start with.
  4. A plummer x whippet could be a grand dog for sure and i'm surprised there's not more about. As for best thing since sliced bread the same could be asked of the minshaws could it not johnny? :hmm:and to be honest most whippet owners i have met a future breeding is always on the cards reguardless of if the whippet is any good or not so bit of bollocks that last statement you make imo.The plummer ain't the best terrier by far but as a bushing, ratting or general all rounder they take some beating and are better than most terrier types at this sort of work, like it or not so x with a good whippet imo
  5. I got mine corrigated plastic and have a bit left open with perches under the open bit just for this purpose, also have a planted out flight with a open roof off the main flight for that more natural enviroment bit as well.
  6. It'll be better with a roof and not so much a house but somewhere they can get out of the wind and drafts is very important,in my aviaries i use artificial xmas tree for cover as well as conifer branches. The xmas tree when they get dirty i just wash it off with hot soapy water and they last for ever, well until the birds wreck them,a bird bath is also important and different feeders in different places so there's no bullying off of food from any of them with each other.I also use natural branches for perches and i just try to set things out as natural a setting as i can.
  7. Aussie flying rats sure ain't my cup of tea either
  8. Females for you mate ,best get her moved if i were you as it'll just stress out the fife hen and no good will come of that.
  9. No it's not true and if a window is open good bye bird, not sure about budgies but other finches will be fine in a mixed aviary. But like others say bin that rat trap of a cage and the bird will be better for a bit of room and thats a fact for you mate .
  10. Cracking that mate, nice bit of space for a mule in there and like the dove coop as well .
  11. This coming week end folks and the weathers looking good for it as well, should be a good old do again. CC & BS,cocky cnuts and bull shitters maybe,
  12. Yes it is still on and it's on the main road in east Colne, not hard to find at all mate.
  13. Seems to have done the job and the thin perches do help so thanks Craigyboy for the tips ,it's not 100% normal but is allmost there and good what a bit of sticky plaster can do at times.
  14. Get a mate to phone the old bill saying the men in that van just tried to snatch a child, bet they get on to it in no time then.
  15. Hedge Mumper had a merlin eve bred dog that held it's own down in cornwall running alongside the landy, seen a couple saluki types do themselves well at the old bunny bashing game.
  16. All the gear is there, just turn up with your dog and it's free to enter the show.
  17. The redpoll mule i've been hand rearing has a slipped claw,i've taped it up and was told about a week taped up should do,Is this about right and do they allways come good when taped up?.
  18. Was going to call you a scab then saw who it was, just copy the cnut out of it and sell them nice and cheep is all i'll say
  19. I heard poor old fat boy lost money through poor sales of his divd's and other crap he punts out when the big thread about this went on ,Tough shit fat pat and hope it happens again .
  20. No Baw he had a 16 years old stolen dog and wouldn't give it back,so to answer your question he's scum to a lot of us and if thats a mistake your prepared to forgive then i'm glad i don't know you pal. Hope he choked on his cake the fat gormless speaking twat.
  21. Your a braver man than me mate, but fair play on opening the door and having the nerve to see what may happen.Best of luck with them and just one question if i may?,do the natives mind having jays about or are they out of sight from them?.
  22. Thanks for the comments folks and it seems the bird bug is biting as all he wants now is the bird sat on his head and it's even got the name of Popcorn ,
  23. I've been hand rearing a mule chick and the other day it fledged, i had it out feeding it and my youngest son wanted to hold it and he's never held a bird before,he was a tad shy at first but he soon relaxed a bit and maybe a birdman of the future? . A clearer pic of the mule which is a redpoll mule.
  24. I got a pair not so long back and i have a fair sized aviary or else i can see he'd be giving her some stick in a smaller flight. She had nested and laid 3 eggs but was so jumpy on her nest i've set the eggs under a canary hen, deffo not a novice bird and you do need a couple of years bird keeping under your belt before taking them on imo.Another thing is live food as they do seem to be birds that eat a lot of it for seed eaters in general, but then saying that,i have it out all the time as all my finches and quail do eat more of it than i imagined they would.
