  1. See above mate. Yes tried the 40g and they work fine!!
  2. Use a 1500 and its done me proud. Shot loads of foxes with it all ranges out to around 280 yds using Hornady 55 grain and on occasions 40 grain V Max. On criticism would be a slightly heavy trigger but that is adjustable with care.
  3. We had one on trial from shop and didnt like it. We shoot as a team and the only person who sees what is happening is the guy with the rifle as opposed to lamping when both see what is going on! I know someone who uses the Archer system and while it is good its expensive. I guess if lamping alone both are ok but if out with a mate its nice to both 'enjoy' the sport.
  4. Had a mate who had the same problem. I called a trader who told me that CCI had a 'problem' with a batch of ammo they loaded for Hornaday being 'under loaded' with powder. It slipped thro QC which is bad news. Overloaded would have been far less dangerous. He also said that due to this Remmington were going to now load their own 17HMR rounds. And as has been said CCI do (or did) load all 17HMR ammo!!!
  5. in reality they are shiit someone in england proof me wrong ? All calls are shit when they dont work fact! If you know one, or have one, that is 100% share the info with us mere mortals
  6. I just upgraded to thicker material still no cost as it was scrap from the engineering shop next door!!
  7. Have made this version and with a bit of 'tuning' to get the right sound it works well!
  8. Dont buy one watch this, its so easy to make one! http://youtu.be/TEz7XK2htE8 found another version.
  9. I shoot a Howa 1500 cant complain had loads of foxes with it.
  10. It will look very similar to the one in my avatar!! Cracking bits of kit although mine is the 'early' Titan Manitou version At that price with a scope and mod its a complete steal!!!
  11. No probs mate. From memory I was quoted for them locally at around £10 a box!!

  13. If you fancy some cheap stuff try privi partisan had heard some good reports about that! Not tried it personally but with prices rising every trip to the shop who knows!
  14. this country would need to loose roughly half its population to be able to sustain itself food wise, everything else heat, light ect would have to come second to food. Time to get all the illegals and even legal 'immigrants' out then! slim down our population a fair bit and put some money back in the coffers instead of spunking it on them!!
  15. Price for sure will play a big factor in anyones choice of rifle, shotgun or air rifle. With a rifle you still have to think of the rest of the kit ie scope moderator bipod sling these cost varying sums and add to the overall cost of the setup. If you have a bottomless pit or a money tree then go nuts! for most of us it has to fit our pocket so the choice is limited by cost!! When my money tree finally bears fruit I may well get one custom built for the hell of it and I have no doubt it would be better than anything commercially available until then I will stick to the CZ!!
  16. yes. Believe me if I could afford it I would get him to build me one! An 'English' 17HMR theres a thought!! The CZ cost me (from memory) £260 spanking new about 18 months back why would you say no to it!!!
  17. Got my CZ, on recommendation. from and through a gunsmith who worked for H&H and builds custom varmint rifles. Fitted a rimfire magic trigger kit at £10 cost and it has been superb cant really fault the rifle for the price.
  18. Simple really for ages England have had no passion and no heart! (do any of them actually know the national anthem!) Speaking of heart what a total wanker Joe Hart is / was!!!!
  19. CZ every time great tool at a great price and a trigger kit is just a tenner!!!
  20. One designer dog for a good few on here would be the BULLSHIT
  21. OK if you shoot alone but your still restricted to 'out of window' shooting and its limitations ie 180 degree movement at best!!

  23. I doubt you will find anything that wont tear on barbed wire!!!
  24. I used Alpha for mine with no probs. Kits had it soaked to start them off. I must admit I did always try to feed flesh but its handy to have a bag about just in case!!!
