  1. If you come across a nest let me know my mate uses the thread for scope x hairs!!!
  2. Tyson Fury is by far the biggest load of sh##e going imo seen him twice and far from impressed. Glass jaw on a big man = long way down to the canvas!!
  3. Thanks for the advice may dab a spot of superglue on em! £ for £ this is the best one we have tried. I made one using this method they work very well and cost nowt! Also have made these again simple
  4. I know this has been done to death on here and all have their own fav calls. Got one of these off ebay (cheapest I found at the time!) http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cce3ec705 Used last night for first time and worked a treat. We came across 2 foxes playing in the snow about yds from us just as we had turned a corner! They and us were a bit shocked! The 2 of them started to trot off, the very light wind was wrong but a quick baaa stopped them and my mate shot, what turned out to be a dog. The other made a hasty get way thro the hedge. We picked up the dog and then slowly made our way
  5. Mine were housed in an old shed. Floor and walls were insulated with polystyrene. Shavings on floor and lots of shredded paper for them to nest in they loved it!
  6. The carbon steel Opinel range!! http://www.opinel.com/uk/tradition/hetre-acier-carbone
  7. Always sat down for my coffee break and have gone on my arse a good few times striking like a snake
  8. I used a waterproof newspaper delivery bag only prob was it was real bright so it got put inside a postmans canvas delivery bag. Used to hold loads of nets and always had around 100 in it!!
  9. http://www.heinnie.c...oducts/4716.jpg Non locking opinel!! Just to add dont do stainless the carbon ones easier to sharpen!! Just remember to clean and rub with a bit of any oil!!
  10. Always wore a Barbour Solway jacket and Barbour overtrousers. To me trousers were better than chaps, no wet arse if you sat down! Had chaps as well which were good on warmer days. Still got the jacket its gotta be 25 years old now!!
  11. This pretty much say all you need to know about what amounts to the best manager there has been! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Ferguson
  12. For sure there are less on our permissions but the we have accounted for an awful lot with the rifles (as requested by landowners) I dont ferret anymore as the 'season' seemed to get shorter and shorter and I was never a mobile hedging and ditching service! Speaking of ditches with all the rain the ditches have been flooded and I guess there is a chance that the rabbits drown if they cant find dry ground quick? Perhaps we all need to have a close season as has been suggested but I know that my permissions would soon be someone elses if I didnt do a good job!
  13. Good luck mate cracking rifles I wouldnt sell my Titan
  14. The 'modded' vitara we use for lamping.
  15. We also had a drive out last night took both the 223 and 17HMR. Total for the night was 3 foxes with the 223 + 11 hares 3 rabbits and 1 'miscellaneous' with the HMR Cold night but worth the drive. Gotta go back later in the week as we saw at least 4 more sets of eyes!
  16. Found this on youtube may have been posted before but the guy has some skill!!
  17. Go in see the greenkeeper and ask! We did and got one of our local courses and best of all we can drive it in the Vitara!! Shoot with both a 22RF and 17HMR had loads to start with now thinned em out so we are seeing less and less.
  18. Tyson Fury should get rid of his pseudonym He is certainly not in Mike Tysons class and never will be. The only fury he has is with his mouthings off pre fight, best exponent of that was Mohammad Ali and he could also deliver!
  19. Just looked at the conditions on my ticket it says as follows. The .17HMR rifle and .17HMR moderator .22RF rifle and .22RF moderator and the ammunition to which this certificate relates shall be used for shooting vermin and any other lawful quarry and for zeroing on ranges or on land deemed suitable by the chief officer of police for the area where the land is suited and over which the holder has lawful authority to shoot. The .223 Rem/5.56x45 rifle and .223 Rem/5.56x45 moderator and the ammunition to which this certificate relates shall be used for shooting foxes and any other lawful
  20. Check your 'Land Authority Form' the Cambs version has 3 sections Vermin Fox and Deer all with specified calibres http://www.cambs.police.uk/firearms/forms/landauth.pdf There is no mention of 'Long Range' on any part of any of the application forms so that is an irrelevant statement in my opinion. The 'grey area' is if fox is considered vermin!
  21. Spot on mate I always made my own. If you want dab a bit of bright paint on the tops to make em more visible or get the coloured nets!
  22. Same county and all my application said from memory was was 22LR vermin control 17HMR vermin control 223 fox. (All 3 granted) No need for 'long range' to be on application seems a strange statement! Agree with comment that fox is considered vermin tho so no real reason you cant take with either the 22 or 17HMR
  23. See a couple of Tysons fights and thought he was shite! He got chinned and sat on his arse but in fairness got up to win. Not as impressive as people recon imo
  24. We shoot off a bipod and have no problems! Had over 150 foxes with it in 2 'seasons'
