  3. This is where people differ see .I would say the scenery came first and a shot was a bonus but ................
  4. Check the forend swivel before trusting it mate .
  5. You can stick up for them or you can hate them the fact is that they are here............ ..but shouldnt be .I dont care that they work hard ,pay there way and are prepared to do the work some INDIGENOUS whites wont do .This country is well and truly f****d because we let the very first NON INDIGENOUS c**t hang up his hat and call it home .It will only get worse ,much worse and we have the soft element in this thread ,and their like to thank for that .The only way forward ,but one that is never to be uttered by a politician is to close our borders and sort out what is here already and deport t
  6. Perseverance mate ,thats the key to anything ,although if i lived closer i would drop a fella in that cage just so you can write about results .Come on .
  7. Beautiful country there mate .Sort that rifle out too lol.It happens .Best to zero there and then though ,in the long run .
  8. My contribution to roe heads .Fecking ugly aint it but my claim to fame non the less .
  9. The ranges you would take with a 12 bore arnt too far off what a 3inch .410 will do .The hush power models are very well suited to this type of lamping .I had one for years 'til i graduated to the rimfire and shot a fair few .Like any sort of lamping though ,you will need to vary the time and approach to get best results .Good luck .
  10. Nice pics and a good day out but im surprsed this hasnt been moderated .
  11. Nothing wrong with dog mixing it but you have to know when and where to use that dog .Every style of work has a place ,even those you can call out.I would have to say its 50% in the breeding and 50% in the handling of a terrier as to whether it jacks or not .The best breeding can be sickened and second rate dogs can be used to good effect ,by the right people .If a terrier that has otherwise had a good career messes me about then it gets a long lay off ,change of quarry and almost always resumes the work .Fitness plays a big part in what we expect our little tykes to do and taking them out fo
  12. Well done mate .We appear to be neck and neck at the moment .lol.Get some practice in before you get down to me on those bucks .
  13. ......................................Ah but its not You long range shooters may be using the fifle to good effect but your not using your wits at all .I only have the .243 to stay within the law as regards deer .With the arrival of accurate ,long range centre fires ,a bit of field craft was lost .Even the most lamp shy and squeak shy fox can be got by using your head for fieldcraft as opposed to sitting back and letting him have it from 200+.Like you have said ,each to their own but whos the better hunter ?
  14. Cant beat tits on yer nuts Cracking pic mate .
  15. Personally mate ,I get my pleasure and satisfaction from being able to get close to quarry ,be it deer or fox .I pride myself in this fact too .Not to say the long shot isnt skillful but at this moment in time its not for me .A shot over 100 yds is rare for me but i still kill my fair share .Shooting a zoomed in critter would not do much for me mate .
  16. I can vouch for tony as well ,had some good deals over the years .Hope to see that rifle in action some day soon mate .
  17. Lamped a large area last nightwith josh off the site , as the farmer has had a few chicken killed .Didnt see a lot until we'd done a complete circuit and back to the farm .We generally see one here so wasnt surprised.Stalked in to a shootable range and i lead down on the [wet ]grass for a prone shot.Shot it and paced it at 84 . It was a vixen ,sat on the top of a ditch bank that leads up to the farm house .
  18. The bedding thing seems to be whatever is cheapest BUT..........With chopped straw ,the buggers sometimes fill their crops with it and bung up thus starving out
  19. Didnt realise just how bad they were until they were on screen
