  1. Lads...ffs I've been guilty of all this big balls ballox but seriously ,half a dozen men onto one .You ain't all you are cracked up to be none of you cos this would of been sorted ages ago. Fighting is for kids in the playground and delinquents and requires a physical meeting I'm sure of which ain't happening .Threats are as effective as a piss off the side a boat, means f**k all .Getting boring lads . stand back and actually read what written and then remember how old you all are . Rant over ,love FD
  2. Yes mate needy is how I'd describe the few bitches I've kept on.The bitch I have now is extremely needy of attention, right from a pup and her pup is the same .Better that than a standoff type though everyday .Can't say I've seen many of the type that wouldn't work fox though but have seen quite a few I'd not keep for being a bit too steady instead of up and at them .The coats are usually good, dense ,and waterproof and seem to gell well with other lines .My daughters boyfriend has a bitch that is NS background, same age as my pup but she is huge ,big strong bitch built like a dog .If she work
  3. Rip terrier and sorry for the loss mate . It will be a long time in recovery for the other dog but hopefully she will make a full recovery .
  4. That was the day I openly invited a few off here mate and thankfully they turned up .14 assorted terriers ,4 lurchers
  5. They are on an 8 month cycle mate and he has 14 sheds .Unfortunately I think we've seen the best of it as his pest controller has upped his game .
  6. Sheds were moved same day mate .Always a performance waiting for them to set up but worth it .[when theres no poison used ] That pic only part of a 1032 day .
  7. Excellent mate .We have them in a scaffold tube on one of my jobs of all places .Must be very tight in there but they have chicks ,can hear them .
  8. For me a pedigree is never written for anyone else bar myself and I know the dogs right back to the bitches I started with ,can remember every single one including those given away .For anyone to make up a pedigree purely to enhance a sale or impress anyone is beyond me .Who are they kidding as it will certainly come back to bite them on the ass. Better to admit as D did ,that a terriers lineage can't be traced 100% and leave it at that . The Stevens stuff is a f****n minefield with anything remotely looking like it getting the label .My own NS input starts at the dog I saw over the bitches
  9. would you go near anyone with parvo? Havant answered the question. Has he had it ,haves it now or sold dogs with it or what .
  10. Taz ...Dont want to get into an argument but if as you say the stock is proven id like to know why there isnt a waiting list for said lonely pup .Can i ask also if you breed to supply the general game or for yourself and mates .Its just if the last bit is true then there is never supplus pups as anything born over the spoken for number is surely waste and culled .Like i said its not looking for an argument ,just genuine observations and sorry if its blunt .
  11. Top photo is a Pedigree Patterdale terrier? Bottom photo is a Bull / Russell (Didn't Bert Gripton's terriers have that blue spotting in them?) Bert Gripton Terrier 01.jpg What is the breeding behind this dog, interested in hearing what people think. Terrier 2017.jpg A guess would be staff bull x pat put back over same reverse bred .......long guess .Handsome chap anyway .
  12. Socialising is as important as feeding as you know mate .Hope they both do the biz this coming winter .ATB with them .
  13. Im guessing you need to be on the dreaded face book to join .Whats that about parvo .
  14. Salisbury Plains near me used to be heaving with roe but they had a heavy cull to stop the squaddies shooting them on exercise i was told .How true this is im not sure
  15. Because they dont want the supposed breeder to find out hes used their name mate .Little trick mate ...................When you first meet a terrier lad and hes keen to part with a terrier ask him firstly how its bred ,just a verbal and remember it .As you are leaving ask that very same question and see what changes are made in regards to where the conversation inbetween went lol.Amazing how peds are sometimes tweeked to include those dogs a liitle bit known, not fully, by the buyer ,new owner .I was in a lads kitchen once ,a lad off here lol ,he was selling a rough black dog to a lad i knew a
  16. mice die very quickly in live traps from experience .
  17. So with that way of thinking when in your opinion would you say bull blood was introduced to the labrador ?I've always considered some labs to have a bull look about them. I doubt that it is actually in them thoughNot even kidding It has to be in them. The experts on here who know everyones breeding are telling us that if it looks bully then it's a bull mongeral.Smooth coat, big head, it's a bull cross. The Lab even comes Buckskin, Black and Chocolate, it has to be a bull cross. Maybe the Chocolate is where the Chocolate came from in the black terriers. Maybe old Fell breeders used a Choc
  18. I think this has been blown out of proportion tbh . The addition of bull for those who have used it for what I deem correct purposes is done through a 1/4 or 1/8 animal never through the real deal. This I know is controversial as someone's got to do the leg work to get there but they do and they are out there.I've never been one to project breed to produce anything I'm not sure of but I realised a long time ago ,having spoke to a few older lads ,that to keep size and a style of work I am used to then it's advantageous to use these crosses once in a while . I'm convinced many lads introduce it
  19. If you think it's been traumatic tracing grandparents DE don't ever go into the full history as it's a mine field. Gave up and now happy to look at what's under me not behind it .
  20. His next book is called .. No more heroes ,anymore .........apparently .
  21. Think he's saying GM mentioned the bitch mate not he bred it .
  22. DogMan85, Unfortunately not everyone sees it that way. It is easy for some to accept that Bull blood was added "a hundred years ago" but not to accept that it was added 30 years ago. It offends some terriermen to believe that "their line" has bull blood in it, even when its plain to see the bull influence in the dogs. So a "Blue Poll" might be acceptable but a Staff or EBT is out of the question. What a load of cobblers. IMHO it is not a bad mark against a working terrier strain if bull blood is evident, if that is what the breeder wants to do. But some guys are afraid to admit it.
