My great grandfather was head keeper to lord Bath at Longleat .About as close to royalty as I could muster . Got his journals here somewhere .The vermin counts were amazing back then as well as the big bag days .I’ll look it out if I can find it .

Can honestly say out of all the foxes I’ve shot only ever had one do anything bar spin round and die .Shot a large dog years ago with the 222 that made 40 yds before dying .In the main they arnt tough animals when shot Ive found ,not like deer anyway .Soft skinned and upper body shots seem to kill instantly . Looked out last night and bottled it lol but out tomorrow come snow or high water . -

All conspiracies aside ,you have to ask yourself if gov are quite happily complacent with the number of deaths ,adjusting numbers to suit other issues .If we so say have the top scientists in the world I’m not buying the fact they weren’t on the issue from day one which means gov have ignored 70% of advice along the way .We have produced the first viable vaccine ( apparently ) so where was the advice from these boffins early on . Its very clear certain issues and various stages of this shit have been milked by gov and sad as it is ,the elderly losses were no more than a drain on the coffe

We’ve still got several warehouses full of ppe bought at extreme cost to ourselves from overseas .Gov are very embarrassed about it .

Saw two last night while ratting .One ran from a dead chicken as I walked to another shed and just sat about 100 m away in full view in moonlight . The other was more cute ,straight in the hedge when I moved . Back there Friday with the .223. -

As I understand from various emails ,policies relating to allowing vaccinated persons access to whatever will be left to individual companies and not Gov nor local council . Im probably going to have to do a complete u turn on the issue to set an example or risk having to change my workforce . Its a cluster f**k for sure with no guidance from HSE bar you need to consider the impact on the public which isn’t really helpful . One of the companies we sub to has said it will be mandatory ? Another says it’s an individual choice but common sense should apply ?.Hopefully see some
