It can be depending on the job. I took a pay cut to come here last July because it was local work but I have had enough of the wank night shifts.

Yeah, heard about that mate, but as you know, jobs like that are like rocking horse shit and even in Network Rail it's a case of who you know. As you know I applied for a few MOM's & LOM's jobs but folk knew who'd secured them before it was even announced.

It's the same whatever company you work for, you can't just get on track when you want, you have to do it in a line blockage or engineering possession at the weekends.

Perhaps mate but as good as your job was mate it's still lots of nights and weekends isn't it? I detest nights but each to their own, others love it.
