  8. Hi Rolfe,.I'm sure Netrigger off here will be able to find you a supplier,..he knows most of the Wholesalers... However,.I would fight shy of using a 'shiny nylon',..4z or 6z in a 2 and a quarter inch mesh... The 2" mesh is the norm in most sheet netting,.and is perfectly adaquate. Of course, you know your own mind,.and its up to you,..but I have found that such a material supplied in a larger size in sheet netting,.CAN sometimes stretch as the rabbits hit it,.just that wee bit TOO much,...if ya get my drift... Whereas, in a 'Spun Nylon' twine,.or even in Hemp,..you can get away w

I know it has been asked before but can anyone advise me where i can buy 200yrds of (2 and1/4 inch) sheet netting. i dont want 2 inch mesh.........that is the main criteria. i am not particularly worried about the cost as i will pay to get what i want. 15 meshes deep would als be my preffered option. any help would be appreciated. thanks Rolfe

  14. THANKS RO..........for that info. it's just that hardening the points in the fire stops them freying and splitting at the bottom end for a while longer. it's just as easy to re-sharpen them i suppose........! thanks for the input anyway. Rolfe

  18. Just an open query to my fellow long netters out there....! Does anyone know a successful method of hardening the pointed end of long net setting pegs. For years i have been blackening the points of my hazel pegs in the fire.......this does seem to work for a while. I just wondered if anyone knew of another method of hardening the points? I look forward to recieving a flood of answers Regards Rolfe.

  20. Has everyone noticed the shortage of rabbits this season due to the massive outbreak of mxyamatosis. Our area has been decimated, the worst for many years around here. I was wondering if other areas (apart from here in the Midlands) had also been badly hit? Rolfe
