mole trapper, do you make all your nets shaped or do you start at the beginning with the correct amount of meshes on the ring and just carry on down without incresing the amount of meshes on the way down? just out of interest as im finding it impossible to make a shaped net and still are struggling with a square one

good. i have no problem with seeing these pictures ever now and again and if someone doesnt want to see it then why open the thread? this site is built on what we want to post and look at and if you dont like it then you have the choice to turn a blind eye. whatever anyone says a ferret needs to be played with and looked after properly in order to get as much as you can out of them in the field. i associate my ferrets as real hunters in the fields and friends whilst at home. this does not make me any better or worse than anyone else as this is how i like to do it. and everyone does things in

. i think and know that jiggy works his ferrets. if he has 2 ferrets and only works one then what difference does it make. it says somewhere on one of his posts that it will be out working so whats your problem with him rearing up one nicely ready to work? i mean who here wants to shove there hand down a hole to fetch out a ferret that will take off your fingers. i think there is more against you than with you so keep your head down and make APPROPRIATE comments

i have never used a poker before but i though it may save my knees getting wet as it was still quite dewy but although i almost cut off me thumb it was good when we were out there. it did take us the best part of an hour to get there but alls ok seeing i got a lift back due to ill health lmfao

it does say in the thread title 'FERRETS and ferreting.' so it aint all about hunting on this section. we are practically all hunters so what does it matter if a HUNTER fancies posting some other pics for a change?

worst day possible lol. just got back from the hospital with a bandadged thumb lol. Was cutting a branch to act as a prodder to test the wholes to see if they were actually a hole, slipped the fold up saw and cut a massive great hole in me thumb lol. all bandaged up know but only managed one set and didnt even get one but whether was great and i was pleased i got out even though i disected my thumb lol. hope everyone else has better luck lmao

Im heading out for my first proper time of the season tomorrow. I hope to be ferreting a nice stretch of bodmin moor and will hopefully catch something. if anything exciting happens pictures will be up one way or the other All The Best Will.f11

totally agree mate and Im sorry about your jill. My dad told me that i had to do at least 3 seasons ferreting with friends before I was allowed to have my own ferrets. It was a very good Idea as i feel i have a fairly good knowledge of ferrets and agree that you should get to know the sport before you buy your own animals. I cant wait to start my first season with MY very own ferrets. I have had all summer to get to know and trust them and I think we will make a great team. Spot on mate Will.f11
