Tom, I know nothing about Bushwear, but I do know about Fourteenacre, and like many other forum users, will tell you categorically that you won't find genuine traps on sale by any company with a better reputation for customer service.

Why is the country f****d today? Well there are any number of reasons, none of them Mrs T. You could argue that there is a worldwide recession, and that we weren't prepared for it because Labour had spent all the cash and bought off the electorate with borrowed money. You could equally argue that the economic policies of Gordon Brown, first a Chancellor, and later as PM allowed the banking sector complete unregulated freedom to gamble on the markets. You could also, I suppose, argue that the unions knackered british industry in the seventies and that the free market policies of

The family are paying the funeral costs. Only right that the state pick up the policing costs; they would be there whatever. Don't see many refusing to attend. The only funeral for a politician attended by the Queen apart from WSC. Don't see many on here moaning about that? There will be people from all over the world there, get ready for the shame of some scumbags making a nuisance of themselves. The water cannons will be interesting.

'Blown to bits'? That's a very emotive way of describing some shot hares. It's a bit like shooters saying 'Torn to bits' when talking about dogged hares. Neither is a correct description, nor do they do anything to help.
-
You've lost me. What have your poaching exploits got to do with lamping hares? All very interesting, but please try and stay on topic rather than using this as a way of promoting your own past deeds.

Doesn't the fact that those estates can have hare shoots every year tell you something? As I said earlier, there seem to be pockets of hares in big numbers in some parts of the country. Those evil shooters are having little or no effect on their numbers. I can remember reading debates like this 25 years ago! I do, however, agree that the odd hare caught by the dog boys and the beaglers has no noticeable effect on hare numbers. When hares are present in big enough numbers to cause real damage issues, only some sort of organised shooting has any real effect. We've got problems her

So let's get this right; Scargill stood up for his 'class' and Mrs Thatcher wanted a miners strike? Don't be silly. The fecking unions were destroying this country; their constant walk outs and illegal strikes made us a laughing stock all over the world, and the electorate had had enough. What's a landslide election victory? One where the winning party has a huge majority, in other words the public had had enough and wanted someone strong who would stand up against the Moscow led union officials who didn't want anything except conflict. Let's just remember that the good old worki

No, I won't rise to that one GTE......... Tarzan was, and still is, a self publicising cock who has never, and never will be taken seriously.

I wonder if there will be street parties in Liverpool when that fruit loop Hatton finally pops off?

The Black Venus, now that brings back some memories.......... I think it was the first pub on Exmoor to offer garlic mushrooms; at least it was famous for it. Haven't been there for years now; may drop in for a pint next week just for old times sake I presume that would be the TVB hunting the Challacombe country? i think so mate,.......most me family are living with in a few mins walking distance of there....when i was a young lad i use to love meeting there with the fox hounds..........quality Yep, it's a nice part of the world. Used to go up there on the Partridge sho

What the heck has buffalo got to do with lamping hares? And for your information I don't have any poults for you to 'mysteriously' kill. Read what I wrote; each to his or her own. I'd defend dog work if the boot was on the other foot. Oh, and please don't make any more veiled threats. I'm not easily intimidated by anyone

Blackgreyhound you know feck all about guns or shooting by the looks of things. I used to love to see a hare run in front of a good dog, and I love my beagling. In an ideal world there would be a good population of hares spread across all of the country. Sadly, there isn't, and in those areas where there are lots of hares shoots can kill hundreds of hares year in, year out, with no noticeable effect on the population. Most of the hare shoots I know of are carried out by the beaters etc at the end of the season after driven shooting has finished, and there are usually two reasons t

Care to elaborate a bit more than that? Or shall I just hit the big red button now? hare is legal quarry where iceman is from As I thought, which is why I suggested he elaborates to explain that

Out of order. Do not go there.

This is a hunting website, frequented by hunting people, expressing views on a wide range of subjects. What else would a stranger think if this was the first thread they read on this forum? That we're all tolerant, compassionate, humane people? I doubt it. Anyway, I think I've said more than enough on this subject.

Really? Like most folks reading this, I didn't come down in the last shower! See that in red? All current and future tense, not past tense like it would be if it was 'pre-ban'. Engage brains people.

Anyone else? Lamping hares and roe is illegal. Posting topics about illegal activity is against forum rules. Think before you post please.

I would, but my passport has expired, and I fecking hate soggy chips.... I've got no problem with people not liking her, or thinking that she is somehow responsible for all the woes inflicted on Scotland and the North of England. As Malt says, someone as controversial as her was bound to create some discussion when she went, but it is possible to do so without being so cretinously disrespectful to someone who's hardly even cold yet. All I ask is that people allow her family to lay her to rest before they start with the insults and lies.
-
What do I think of lamping hares? Well, I think that just like running roe (Coursing Lad) it's ILLEGAL. Please engage brains people. This is not a subject that should be being discussed on here.
-
Not at all. What I'm saying is that criticism can and should be tempered with just a hint of respect for someone that has just died and has not even been buried (or cremated in this case) yet. I didn't agree with everything she did, but I still admired her for standing up for what she believed in. It's easy to blame her for everything that went wrong, but the problems started long before she won a LANDSLIDE victory. There are lots of left wing politicians that I don't like, and that I think have done irreparable damage to our nation. I would still try and show a little respect

Wilson closed twice the number of mines that Mrs T did. I can't hear myself think here for the number of people that are banging on about that old fraudster knackering the mining industry As I said earlier, whatever you thought of her, she was a mother and grandmother. Do you ever sit and think about what her grandchildren may think of hunting people reading some of the spiteful shite on here? This is one of the subjects where some of the noisiest people probably weren't even born when she was sorting out the fooking mess that Wilson and Callahgan had left from the seventies.

Not sure about the original question, but I used to buy .22 rimfire shot cartridges to shoot rats with the pistol. Try Ladds of Crediton.

They've always done that. They usually put a covenant on any land they sell preventing any field sports from taking place on it in future.
