    Yeah, I know who you mean, but I'm talking about Real Fen Men who run/ran top dogs for big money... not someone who ran a dog once. These guys wouldn't even entertain the guy I think you're on about ! Cheers.

    Well; you're obviously after an agument..... but the lads that have REAL fenn dogs and match them for big money, probably don't even look on here !! They do their own thing, and breed the best coursing dogs in the world, (imho). Of course, the "Fen Dog" isn't what you want for an all round Lurcher... but it was never meant to be, so why knock what is a purpose bred animal for a specific job ??? Cheers.

    I've got a half x bitch that is 29" and a Lurcher x Lurcher bitch that has Deer, Beddy and Grey in her and she is 23". Both do what they are supposed to do. Can't beat a bit of well bred Deerhound in a Lurcher line. Cheers.

    A pathetic question; in my opinion ! A dog could be great in it'a last time out, but wake up the next morning and be lame ! It could take six month to get the dog right, and the best dogs would be worth the work to get them right !! A dog is only as good as the work it gets ! The best dog in the world is useless if it is left to fester in it's kennel. A half decent dog will go well if it is given the chance !! It's all down to the owner if he gives the dog the chance to work ! Cheers.

    When you have four breeds in a pup as diverse as yours has, you could be talking 18" to 30", so it's imposible to say what size it will make. Cheers.

    I think a genuine 1st cross Beddy/Grey put over a genuine 1st cross Deer/Grey would give me the type of dog I would like ! Cheers.

    I'm sorry, but I think it looks like any other street cur, how do all you guys come out with "nice dog mate", "smart dog mate", etc ? I hope it works out for the owner, but I doubt it will be any good as a Lurcher. As I say, good luck with it, and I hope I'm proven wrong. Cheers.

    Dogs are a pack animal, and there will allways be an Alpha male or female. But !! YOU should be the boss !! That won't stop them having a "pecking order", but they should know who the boss is. My Deer X bitch has developed into the dominant bitch in my kennel, but she still knows I'm the boss ! Cheers.

    There has allways been confusion here in the U.K. as to what a "Staghound" is. Here they are, (usually) a big type of Foxhound, used for hunting Red Deer, there was, (and possibly still are). a couple of Staghound packs down in the south. The Staghound abroad; Australia, New Zealand, America, South Africa, etc, is usualy a Deerhound/Greyhound hybrid; of course there are many other breeds crossed into these lines, and an "offshoot" is the American Coyote Hound; still basically Deer/Grey but bred from the best to the best, and probably has far more than just Deer/Grey in its make up. Cheers. no mate im askin has dan threw many good dogs, cause i had a call from a lad who has a bitch of dan he was looking to use my dog said his bitch a bit slow im asking is this the way dan throws them a bit slow,i was just commenting that i have a pup of dan hard to tell if she has any speed yet. OK mate, but why would anyone use this dog if it has a reputation for throwing slow dogs? Surely there are pleanty of coursing dogs out there who have proved themselv
