  1. Tried using a filter when I used a Clulite, but didn't find any difference; now I use a Blitz, I doubt I could be fussed messing about with a filter that size !! LOL !! Cheers.
  2. Not sure what you mean by "not be walked prior to lamping" ? I like to get the dogs a bit exercise before lamping, to loosen them up a bit, saves them getting muscle pulls, strains, etc, by running "cold". Cheers.
  3. I think the only Pedigree Whippet to ever win R.ch's at both WCRA and BWRA, was Mystic Pepe, an outstanding Ped, who was Laguna bred, from coursing stock. The difference in speed these days means a Ped would have no chance at gaining a Non-Ped R.ch now, but he must of been some dog in his day ! Cheers.
  4. What the f**k is that.Thats no lucher looks like a good guard dog hi mate just wondering what dogs you run thats if you do take them out and do you always judge a book by its cover i havnt come on here to big peoples dogs up and i havnt come on here to slag peoples dogs off whats good for one person ent good for another lets just say you wouldnt use a a pushbike to plough a feild would you Just would not be my type and it does not look a running dog everyone too there own Surely that picture is screwed up ? The dog can't be that short-coupled and that tall ? Cheers.
  5. I wonder whats pissed him off ? Usualy all the stick just goes over his head ! Cheers.
  6. Awww; don't leave Mattie !!! Deciphering your daily posts is more fun, (and more difficult), than doing the Times Crossword over breakfast !!! LOL !!! Cheers.
  7. The lad with Sally is still a mate of mine, I'll be seeing him on saturday at his stables. He is still into the dogs, he's got a wee Beddy/Whippet now. I can't believe it was almost 40year ago I was running dogs at the Rising Sun ! Cheers.
  8. The modern Manchester Terrier has absolutely nothing to add to Lurcher breeding.......... and anyone crossing a Manchester Terrier with a Whippet is simply spoiling the Whippet blood ! A useless cross that will be good for nothing. Cheers.
  9. There's a guy or two on here who will go along and rip it all down with their bare hands and stuff it up the land owners arse, if you tell them where it is......... and then come on here bragging about it !! LOL !! Cheers.
  10. I don't think there is a Hall of Fame thing for Whippets, that includes the fastest times. I would think the fastest at the moment is a dog called Loves Lockdown, which is breaking Greyhound track records on the bends, not sure how it does on the 150 yards straight track, though. It's a big dog, and some people might not class it as a "Whippet", but if the BWRA doe's, then it's their rules, and that's what counts ! Cheers.
  11. Common Ground is only "common" in name only. ALL land in the UK belongs to someone, usualy the Church of England, or the Crown, if it is designated "common"; and without written permission from the owner or tenant, you will be breaking the law, even if it's just rabbits you're after ! Cheers.
  12. so in your spare time you lot on to a site with cum guzzling twats on it? don't let the mrs find out!! perhaps if you weren't so insulting people might be a bit more willing to help you out nae wonder some foke oan here dae ma heed in alwas seams tae b the samefoke nothn betr tae dae than bug foke Sixteen spelling mistakes in one sentence !!! Come on, admit it; you're trying to take over from Whin as THL's favourite Jock !!! LOL !!! Cheers.
  13. Sired by Magical Dreams too! Trudy-whippet says you should have seen her the other day when she raided the rubbish, she was almost 28lb !!! That bitch, and the fawn bitch the lady I was talking to had, realy caught my eye. They are a credit to her; good luck with them Cheers.
  14. How can the Midlands to Newcastle be "to far to travel" ???? What is it...150-200 mile ? If you REALY wanted one of these pups, you'd get the bus or the train to get up here to get one ! Cheers.
  15. Nah, mate, we were talking Lurchers, but I did have a craic with some other people about the dogs you had, Allmost Bob's and , was it, Sugar Rush ? That's the thing about a day at the Whippets; pleanty of craic about running dogs in general, with people who know what they are talking about !! Cheers.
  16. Just got back from a grand day out watching these little flyers running at Cambois Greyhound track. The sun was shining, even though it was a bit nippy, but the track was perfect. Not a big turn out of dogs, but some excellant racing. One dog caught my eye, Mazuma, 31lb; he did a time of 15.10, and speaking to one of the Greyhound guys there, he assured me this is faster than most Greys do around this track !! Had a good craic with a lot of peope, and great to see Sowhat, (Jeff), and have a yarn with him. I was also amazed to see a little bitch, 26lb, that is around 7/8th Greyhound !! Good luc
  17. I agree with the sentiment, Bunnys; but "Rabbiting" was the exclusive sport of the gentry at one time ! They had "warrens" built on their land, and employed "Warrenners" to make sure there was enough rabbits for their sport ! Thank god those days are gone ! Cheers.
  18. think he means saluki/deerhound back to a greyhound Oh, OK... but surely as soon as more than two breeds are in the mix, the term "first cross" becomes redundant ? Cheers. maybe he just posted wrong mate I'm probably just being pedantic, mate ! Cheers.
  19. think he means saluki/deerhound back to a greyhound Oh, OK... but surely as soon as more than two breeds are in the mix, the term "first cross" becomes redundant ? Cheers.
  20. How can you get a "first cross" Saluki/Deerhound X Greyhound ? Cheers.
  21. Its not a whippet though is it.The old boys i grew up around would never have tried to pass a near pure greyhound off as a non ped whippet. As I said earlier, some tracks up here, years ago, didn't care if your dog was a Whippet, Greyhound or Lurcher, as long as it fit in the trap. I, personaly, think the BWRA sold it's soul when it raised the wheight limit from 32lb to 55lb !! For gods sake, smaller Greyhounds have won the Waterloo Cup !! I think they should have kept the 32lb limit for all racing . That would have made people think twice about breeding 3/4 Greyhounds. If a dog made the
  22. So he's basicaly a Greyhound ? Nothing wrong with that, we tried for years to get the Greyhound speed into the Whippet size! I raced an unregistered Greyhound bitch at the Whippet tracks in the 70's; she was about 23" and 40lb.... wouldn't look out of place at all now, not with the insane 55lb limit the BWRA has ! Cheers.
  23. Very little ! LOL ! But a cracking dog, non the less !! Cheers. In answer to poachers question.
  24. Doe's any one actualy believe he took the bitch to the vet a WEEK later ?? FFS !!! Cheers.
