How's it a silly thing to say ? It's what I said in my original post, the one you replied to ! Im saying, at the risk of repeating myself, he's a hypocrite; he loves Russia and communism, yet left there to live in England and write for a right wing newspaper So, in my mind it's wrong to profess to be dedicated to something yet do the opposite. The mans an absolute hypocrite! Peter Hitchens is an arrogant bully and a coward. Many years ago, I had a debate with him about Russia v the West. He extolled the Soviet system and said the years he spent in Russia were the best years of his life, and he wished he hadn't returned to the UK. My pals dad was Polish, a real old character. He told me he fought for both the Germans and the Russians during the war. when he saw which way it was going he joined the yanks, hoping to go to America when it ended, but ended up on a ship to England and settled in Wales. His son, by the way is very pro and proud British and polish but married a filipina and now lives in the Philippines. Cheers.

Putins war has raised the prices, they won't come down. Wars have to be paid for and profits have to be made by the war mongers. Its the likes of us that pay for it. Directly or indirectly we will suffer, and honestly, I'm not that well off that I'm not already seeing it. The bosses and rulers won't need to cut back or turn their heating down. Even if our own government is screwing us, International turmoil only makes it much worse, and as I keep saying, it will not come back down. Not sure if your agreeing or disagreeing with my point that prices won't go down If and when this war ends. Of course we're over taxed on everything, how about removing vat on everything, which was only brought in when we joined the EU, or stopping borrowing money on the international markets only to give it away in international aid ? How about paying MP's the national living wage, because lets be fair, most of them couldn't hold down an average job, so they'd be quids in. How about scrapping the House of Lords ? It was meant metaphorically as you well know ! ?! In reality, this war is going to cost all, just today, a microcosm of what's to come, I went for my poultry food, it has went up 40p a sack, the guy said wheat went up £40 a ton. Petrol is now £1:56 a litre, my pension went up £3 a week, my heating went up £60 a month, and it will get worse as Russia and Ukraine are the biggest producers of wheat, oil and gas. Do you think prices will go down when this war is over ? Of course not. So don't think it's nowt to do wth us......it is. Cheers.

Yeah, I watched the Russian foreign minister answering questions from journalists today.
