  1. Nice work Jack, sounds like you both enjoyed it
  2. Well boys after looking for ages and finally finding a copy for sale and treating myself for christmas I was wondering when my exciting present was going to arrive and phoned to check today only to be informed that they couldn't find the book and think they may have sold it. To say i'm disapointed is an understatement. :realmad: So along with many other on the site asking.....is there anyone who can help me find a copy of this book.....i'll consider money and sexual favours
  3. Just ordered a copy after being outbid on EBay at £94 First and last time at this heartbreaking experience :11: Just wanted to ad it to my collection as it looks a great book. Just wondered what people thought of it?
  4. Thanks for replying Adam, do the hounds hunt anything else apart from deer and how many are in your pack? Visited NSW and WA this year with a view to emigrating so interested what there is to work with dogs.
  5. Hi, can I ask why you can only hunt with beagles or bloodhounds and not foxhounds?
  6. Socks is right, always feed raw. Freezing the veg loses some of the nutritional value.
  7. Hi Jack, how are those pups doing? Do you work your shepherd? Got a nice dog at stud if you are thinking of having another litter, low hip score 2:2, high drive from European imports :D
  8. Good call Ian, always good to see different hunting from around the world
  9. A Jack Russell could outrun my car!!

  13. No further north in county, near Scunthorpe
  14. nice looking land there many hares on it :11: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Odd one bit too quick for the terriers though :11:
  15. My old dog had a flea allergy and used to lose the hair around his backend. Hope tail biting doesn't become a stereotypic behaviour, try leaving the Elizabethan collar on. Do you know what the lotion and the jab were?
  16. Hey JD, are you a boy courser or lamper? :11: :11: Why anyone would want to intentionally introduce husky into a lurcher line is beyond me. Unless the dog will catch rabbit, hare, deer and fox and then tow the lot home in a sled :11: Sorry let me sit down and take my medication
  17. used to go lamping with my sausage dog 9" 8lb loads of rabbit. and fox single handed not to good on hare or deer <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :11: :11: :11:
  18. The various Kennel club organisations are good at beefing up the history of a breed but try finding anyone today who breeds and works ridgebacks to testing quarry on a regular basis Why not give yourself a better chance of success and get a dog such as a staghound that has generations of dogs that work. There may not be any breeders in your region but I'd rather travel or get one sent. I think calling staghounds and lurchers "Mutt dogs" is slightly patronising, they have beedn carefully bred around the world for hunting a variety of different quarry.
  19. This is my younger dog, good stamina and pretty quick for a shepherd. Works well with terrier and should be ok on the lamp
  20. Out with Patterdale after rats
