This post is about coursing i dont start untill end of september any hunting but arabs run there coursing dogs in some right heat. l know grounds alot diffrent mate but lads are going on about weather its the ground for me.
But those dogs are accustomed to the heat. I don't think the style of hunting is important, running a rat or moose in the current condition is dicing with numerous dangerous injuries..............Each to their own but the last thing I would want come September is a dog kennelled through injury.
makes you think a bit....
Mate, after last year I realise we are all mortal, shit can happen anytime and enjoy life and let all the pointless shite wash over you
Ground is like bell iron here and with the temperatures I am careful exercising the dogs, never mind expect them to run something. Far too much risk of heat exhaustion, broken toes or torn ligaments....
I am always on my guard around livestock. Had cows push my dog over a dry stone wall to a 10ft drop one night, also a friends terrier was kicked to death by a horse...........Nice dog by the way
even if the bitch out lucas none of his offspring are old enough to breed out of surely? well when i say breed not done enough to warrant breeding from as i said in a earlier post... each to there own but i wouldnt want a pup out a untested bitch cant be no older than 2.....Who is this lucas dog saluki x greyhound lol. lts a miff this about sire banging good off spring its in the pup or it isnt. Dont get me wrong its nice to have a pup out of a named dog but out there theyll be dogs that would put some of ours to shame. look at jj who won the forley just looks like a box standed lurcher. And l
What a start in life, poor pups. Yet another example of people who shouldn't have a litter. In this day and age of advice and health care there is no excuse for animals kept in those conditions. He obviously has no shame to post an advert of pups in that state. I have been planning a litter for over 3 years, i'd be damned if i'd let pups get reared in poor conditions, what a start in life..........
