  1. That about hits the nail on the head In the 90's I had a few good saturdays following the Dove Valley Minkhounds, some memorable hunts and a good laugh, Greg Mousley knew his hounds, his area and his quarry :thumbs-up:
  2. Your right there, the vibrating collar is as usefull as a chocolate fireguard. I bought mine years ago but it never needs to come out of the box. Any dog with drive or attitude will ignore the vibrating collar, Electric collars are legal and what the majority of bunny huggers know about training and behaviour I could write on a postage stamp
  3. Maybe in the future Problem is when I use my dogs to breed a litter I'm not in it for profit and want permanent homes for the pups
  4. Good going, looking forward to some days out myself over the winter so leave them Lincolnshire rats alone, there mine :11:
  5. Shes all yours, can't be doing with the hassle. My wife found her hiding in the shed yesterday and when I tried to remove her she demolished me with kung fu moves :black eye:
  6. Good price Will Mine cost £400 7 years ago, waterproof with a 3/4 mile range
  7. The appliance of science, electric collar. This is one of the few times I would use it. Either that or a farmer will cure your problem very soon with a large vets bill or a barrel of no.6 shot.
  8. Shes still here Stabs but unless I here from you sharpish I''m sticking her on ebay
  9. Love your set up bondy If you don't mind me asking were they expensive and did you build them yourself? Is there a corridor at the back for access to indoor area?? ta Simon
  10. :11: :11: :11: miller, why don't you go out and follow the hounds, help out beating or mooch around canal banks. Unfortunately permission is never easy to get and we all have to knock on doors and get rejected, I spent two full days calling at farms and everyone was a no. So speaking for myself I would be very very wary about taking anybody on my land. Get around the shows, join a club and maybe thats your best way in. Good luck Simon
  11. My Nuttall bitch is easy going with other dogs and has never been aggressive either when out working or kennelled, guess i've been lucky
  12. My permission is not exactly littered with rabbits Even at night I'm lucky to see a dozen over a couple of hundred acres so runs are rare and catches even rarer. I own the sire, from Belgian imports and bred this litter with a friend, we both kept one, hers is now titled but with young kids and long hours I stopped competing and training, although I take the odd class, the dog is mainly a pet who likes the odd run. His sire is a very hard dog and another litter of pups is due next month after mating him to another friends working bitch
  13. :11: :11: I'd need more than the gun, shes on offer but what are you willing to trade
  14. Here we go, Caught this rabbit with the aid of mixi and a drainage ditch :11: Retreive was fairly poor, hard mouthed and when he returned he didn't want to give it up.........apart from that text book :11:
  15. Would you consider an exchange for a superb Chinese import  :11:
  16. Thanks for the replies fellas, the results with this gun have increased since I read Darcys airgun book. I tried some of the pellets reccommended and they seem to have improved the guns ability.
  17. Yes jack, Woke up this morning and realised I still had to go to work. Also been to the bank and seen how overdrawn I am, now thats unlucky 'cos I don't get paid for another 9 days
  18. Cats always seem to be an emotive subject. I have both cats and dogs, my cats rarely bring in animals yet I have had others that have been avid hunters killing birds, rabbits and rats. After my present two die I doubt I'll keep anymore. We looked/are looking at emmigrating to Oz and wouldn't own a cat there as they have a terrible reputation for killing native wildlife. Saying that I'd be pretty gutted if they were run over. P.S. I'd love the cat carrier
  19. Excessive licking can be streotypic and a sign of boredom, or as millet has said it could be irritation from nettle, any grass seeds inbetween the pads? or an allergy.
  20. Last chritmas my sister and brother in law bought me a new air rifle, now its a Chinese model and I can't remember the name although I don't know of thats my memory or shame Over the summer the gun has accounted for numerous species including rabbits, rats and a huge number of feral pigeons I got a scope fitted in July and the guy in the shop told me it was the worst gun on the market, I replied it probably was, he told me there was no probably. The scope cost me 45 quid, apparently the gun retails for 30 quid My friends have posh guns like Weirachs, Webelys and BSA's but all I can say
  21. Hope you get her back theiving scumbags
  22. Were the majority of dogs like that bull bred Lucky? Simon
