Hi Tracey, sorry you got bitten, been there a few times and it hurts!!! Personally if the terrier had been fighting with another dog and you had been bitten in the heat of the moment I could forgive the dog, BUT the terrier wasn't involved in the actual fight and bit you several times, I love my dogs but if any of them did that it would be gone........... Si x

Forgive me if things have changed but last I knew the police couldn't sell or pass on dogs as each dog is licensed by the home office.................Thames Valley took pups from a litter my dog sired and all made the grade.............

There a scary lump thats for sure, but watch some of the bites carefully, many times the dogs drop off and then go back in, why................ Because they are not committing with a deep full mouthed bite and aren't holding on, also a one bite shows the man coming straight at the dog but the dog bananas round for the bite, this is because it doesn't have the drive to take the bite straight on and face the fella full on. People are always after something different!!! Whether its a serious mali of a serious ovatchrka its like being run over at 60mph by a ford focus or a range rover, both are

Must be some crap shepherds matey. 99.9% of Dobermanns don't have the drive or temperament to perform stable manwork or have the nerves to accept advanced training. I spent 13 years working for a friends company training manwork dogs and all the Dobermanns we had in were potlickers...........

Depends on your definition of a "guard dog", if you require something to get territorial in the yard then a lot of breeds will perform the task, if you want something trainable and sociable too then I prefer a well bred Shepherd or rottie............Currently I have a Shepherd from imported stock looking after my house and kennels but when he passes i'll get a male rottie from European lines......

I have a few chums on here and although hunting with them is a way to pass the winter months I can't wait until the sun is shining and I dust down the Kappa shellsuit and the adidas sambas and go after my favourite prey, the red rosette. Trouble with a hunting life show is there are some top fellas on here, and I am lucky enough to call some of them close friends, trouble is there is a is good percentage of tools who would be dropped off at the show by mummy and daddy and spend the show getting pissed on half a shandy and trying to fight the world whilst popping zits and discussing high schoo

Worker to worker is the only way to go to increase the chances of a sound gene pool producing a greater number of working pups, you will get dogs from KC stock that will work but the percentages are greatly reduced........... -
whats peoples oppinions on clicker training

Sounds like an appropriate training method for your dogs temperament, dabbled in clicker training, its not my cup of tea, I prefer a direct approach but its a useful tool.........
