Personally i wouldn't get too hung up on any particular cross, i'd try and find somebody who is breeding from two dogs with the qualities you are after and pick a healthy pup and hope for a smattering of luck.........

jigsaw mate, i can only imagine how infuriating it must be, is there a pattern to there visits, any particular time or day? Not sure what measures you have until your pup matures, cctv, padlocks and chains but i know how i would feel, i'd be praying to physically get hold of them.............

Going off topic, i think you will find if its anything like his previous topics its more than likely that this is a pup that has had its legs run off it on totally unsuitable rabbits.......must admit I'd keep a three legged dog, saw a good catcher of bolters with 3 legs.......

I know what watchman is saying, its not a dig, just constructive critisism. I have owned dogs that would get a mouthfull of that mesh and rip it of. From my own mistakes in the past i would say idealy it could do with a larger concrete base and drainage, as the ground around the concrete will get boggy in winter and will smell in summer when you are hosing down. Not a dig as the kennels look airy, good run space etc

I personally dont like the idea od bagged quarry, to me the animal doesn't know the lay of the land and I would THINK is makes the animal more streesed and therfore more likely to make mistakes and an easier catch for the dogs. In response to your second question I have not owned a dog capable of running a couple of miles at that speed regardless of the heat

Mostly just stick the bunnies in my rucksack and pockets, if on the few occasions i get more rabbits than i can carry i drop them of at point and collect later.......

Don't like the idea of an animal "released" like that but the combination of speed and stamina in those dogs is amazing......
