Old story I was told , We'll call the fella bob lol Well bob had a dog that wouldn't take a fox at all for him , swapped the dog for a wee pup from a boy , who then took the dog out at the weekend and killed 2 foxes , which was witnessed by a few people (out with hounds) ,so some dogs can make the grade when seemingly they have jacked

I've seen half collie/greys bred both ways and been out with them and couldn't see one bit of differance in working style , height was very similar as was build ,

im the same , and i just close my eye , couldnt be bothered trying to learn with both eyes open .

reason people say put the non runner over the grey , is because 9/10 times the grey will be free ... imo most 1st crosses will level out at a similar size no matter which way round there bred .. when breeding any further generations or breeding lurcher x lurcher i think you should be looking at a similar type sire and dam and similar sizes to lessan the chance of litter wastage .. or always go bigger with the sire well thats what id do any way but what do i know

i dont use any heat in my run or kennel, ive sat in my kennel on a cold night just to see how cold it is and tbh it wasnt bad ... 9 times out of 10 fresh bedding will be pulled out so i only bother putting it in when it starts getting really cold regullary my dogs always come out fresh as a daisy with no stifness .... now if it dropped well below freezing for any length of time id bring the dogs in on a night

Don't know about the clubs in the south But if you wanted to run hare , its legal in the north as long as its not an event
