  1. Don’t breed from it, simple answer based on your posts
  2. That’s a fair point, I bet some of my old employers would say I was lazy, but truthfully I just lack motivation when I’m working for someone else. Graft like f**k for myself though just how I am so winds me up a bit when i hear people say lads that don’t want to work 50+ hours a week on min wage for an employer are lazy cause in a lot of cases they’ll just be the same as I was.
  3. So you need to work long hours in a mundane job to become a man? Ffs I thought the shit you talked about lurchers was bad enough
  4. That’s the way society sees employing young people today, as if lads should be on their hands and knees begging for the chance to do a shit dead end job, for the bare minimum they can legally be paid. If they decide thats not for them and they don’t jump at every job going they get called ungrateful, spoiled, lazy etc. I did my fair share of shit jobs when I left school, more than enough actually, and it got me nowhere at all. In the end I decided to stop scrambling for all these “great chances” you hear about and do my own thing, and now I wish I’d done it years ago.
  5. That’s all they want us to be. Law abiding, tax paying robots. Anyone that does their own thing is made out to be a problem, and that’s become the norm in society these days if you don’t fall in line with what’s expected of you.
  6. I think in the interest of fairness, you should get out what you put in to everything in life. If you pay in all your life you should get treated before someone that’s never contributed. That’s common sense to me, if you choose never to contribute to public services, and you can’t afford private, then don’t complain when you get sent to the back of the queue. Like if someone’s a heavy drinker & they need a liver transplant, then as often happens they keep drinking and knacker the new liver as well, there’s no way they should get that on the NHS. You work hard and pay in to the NH
  7. I think as dog lads especially we should feel a bit uncomfortable handing money to the government. You’re literally filling the pockets of those that voted for your way of life to become illegal. Break your back working, pay astronomical rates on income tax, fuel tax, value added tax etc. Then when you go out for a run at the weekend, the police that your taxes pay for lock you up and take your car off you. People are completely fine with that as well they’ve just accepted that’s the way the world is.
  8. The government robs you blind from the day you’re born. You think politicians are struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table? They’re rolling in cash, living the high life on expenses paid for by YOUR taxes. They’ve got you grafting like f**k, giving them your money and to top it all off they’ve got you thinking it’s immigrants or the unemployed that’s to blame for all your problems. Of course theres people that knowingly cheat the benefits system, british and foreign but they’re just a drop in the ocean compared to what the government takes. People need to open their eyes and
  9. I’m not on the dole, I’ve said a few times I work for myself, don’t make tons of money or anything, but enough to be reasonably comfortable, I’m not greedy with money though I value free time over extra cash, always have just the way I am. Money comes and goes too easy you can’t get time back. But I agree with you if someone consciously chooses not to contribute to the NHS etc they shouldn’t get to use it.
  10. That’s the attitude everyone’s got, a hatred for people on benefits because they’re robbing you of your taxes, when in reality your politicians & royal family steal more from you than these people could in 100 life times but you’ll vote for & support them. Seems backward to me but like I said I really don’t care, I worked full time for 10 years after leaving school, work for myself now, paid plenty taxes but I don’t have any bad feeling towards anyone that doesn’t. It doesn’t affect my life, taxes won’t go down if these people start paying, the government would just pocket the extra.
  11. If a man isn’t hurting anyone or thieving off people then honestly why does anyone care whether he’s lazy or not? These threads always turn in to a who grafts the hardest competition it’s pathetic. Whether you work 10 hours a week & have a few bits on the side to get you by, or you work 70hrs a week on a building site who really gives a f**k? I don’t worry what anyone else is doing as long as I’m happy & enjoying my life I’m alright, think if more people thought that way their would be a lot less bitterness getting thrown about. My grandad worked his whole life on farms and other
  12. I work for myself, plenty free time in winter & don’t have to report to anyone. Ideal scenario for me. Failures a big grey area because one mans failure will be another mans talked up superstar. So many variables
  13. I’m not meaning there’s no lazy young people, there’s plenty, but there’s a lot of lazy older people as well, how many do you see in their 40s going down the job centre with a walking stick they don’t need so they can dodge work for another decade. Laziness comes in all age ranges
  14. Big generalisation, some lads will have a string of bad luck with jobs, one bad one after another. It’s not to say that these boys will just quit and never work again but if they’re sensible & keen they'll start working for themselves, if you’re putting the graft in 5/6 days a week better trying to make yourself good money than someone else that’s the way I see it anyway.
  15. It’s easy to say about young lads being lazy, but I’d bet there’s been a lot of hardworking young lads sickened by the lazy b*****ds that employ/manage them. A lot of companies take young lads on with the promise of training, career progression & competitive wages, when in reality they’re just looking for someone to do all the shit jobs they can’t be arsed with for minimum wage, then when they get older and they'd have to pay them more they f**k them off and replace them with another 16-18 year old. Theres only so many days a keen young lad can get shouted & moaned at by some fat
  16. I don’t know the lad could just see a mile away he was a bit of a chancer ? To be fair though, there’s a lot more worse people than him made a lot more money out of filming running dogs.
  17. That’s the same rew that left moochers when he realised he couldn’t extort money from everyone. Good lad he was ?
  18. Me personally I do the minimum amount of work I possibly can so I can spend more time doing things I enjoy like dogs etc. None of us know what’s round the corner or how long we’ve got left.
  19. More than likely if they’re that keen to be out they’ll have another dog to run, if they only had that 1 bitch what happens when she picks up an injury or just needs a short rest mid season?
  20. So if a mans got a top class bitch & he needs a pup out of her, but she only breaks down in August then he can’t do it or he’s a peddler? Behave ?
  21. A good deer dog will have a crack at both jobs but I agree with you for a lot of people it’s a romantic image, the majestic rough coated lurcher stood on a snowy mountain top with a stag at its feet. Reality is a fair bit different. Its a common thing on forums people posting pictures of their dog up on a mountain, staring in to the distance, usually with a garmin round it’s neck. They love to give the impression the dogs up there flattening stuff left right and centre when it’s probably just out a walk.
  22. Agree with that, you can never fully judge a deer dog by numbers, there’s far too many variables in the way people run them. Obviously the dog needs to take a reasonable tally to be classed as a good dog but I’ve seen a few very average that have accounted for numbers by the owners stacking the odds in their favour.
