Clints English is a hellovalot better than my Polish! And I'm half Polish I think all I know is Walejia, Pierogi and Naszdrowia (or however they are spelled )
  2. that kid won't learn anything from the "example" that the RSPCA would make of him ... the funds raised for the RSPCA by using him as advertising only lines their coffers and helps THEM end OUR right to hunt. Sorry but anyone who helps the RSPCA is hurting us all. If you want to help animals, donate or volunteer at your own local shelters.
  3. If you've never dealt with it before, go to a vet, because none of us are actually SEEING the injury you are talking about, all the advice being given may be completely wrong. However what we do for split/broken/smashed nails is as soon as possible after the injury, we cut the nail back all the way to the quick (as in to the furry part of the toe), and if it has been a few hours after the injury, we soak the foot in hot water/epsom salts to encourage bleeding to relieve the pressure on the toe.

I do 2 miles each way quick paced (but not trotting) twice a day with the dogs, and unless I have to stop to wait for a dog or am "strolling" (on the phone or something), it takes about 30 minutes to make that 2 miles.
  6. I love this ... much better than the Limey Gecko! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F_G2zp-opg
  7. I saw a 2 hour documentary of the BeeGees and it was full of song after song of ones they had written or recorded ... mindboggling what they did! LOVE them! My 2 fav's are "How can you mend a broken heart" and "Too much heaven" love "Lonely Days" too such talent!

  9. we run more of a "what will you do for us IF we invite you" place around here
  10. lol poor Ratkilla is going to pout if he isn't included in the thanks ... he's living with us for 6 months and was the most involved with entertaining Gecko as both Kye and I work, and Ratkilla lives a life of luxury
  11. You sure you're a Northerner? Well spoken, can use a computer AND upload pictures?! You really have to be around her to understand how she wins EVERYONES hearts here, even grumpy Ben Little Jugs (Jugalicious) sure lives the life ... she has the run of the place, sleeps in the garage, gets up in the morning and if it is balmy she'll go for a little swim in the pond, come back up to sun herself ... goes to the barn or chicken house to check on things, has a rag on a pipe that at one time held a mouse, will come running if she hears a door open ... will stand (or lay) guard if you s
  12. if he doesn't listen when another dog is there, DON'T HAVE IT OUT WITH ANOTHER DOG. You are setting up a recipe for disaster ... Put him on leash when within a field or so of the sheep. Is the friends dog not stockbroken?
  13. If you are depressed more often than not, you need to get help ... it isn't just you that it affects, it affects everyone who loves you. There is a type of therapy called EMDR that can be beneficial if you had a serious trauma in your life ... Post Traumatic Stress, Sexual, Abuse etc ... get the help you need, some people just need more help than others.
  14. First Jugs wanted me to tell you "hi!" Anubis too and the horses are grateful for the new feeding ground on the other side of the fence! here is an example of the floor they had to bust through and the corner of the attic where the coon was up under the eaves feather and apollo and the coon has apollo
  15. Gecko we were MORE than happy to have you, likeminded, hardworking folks are always welcomed here! There was no fannying about ... you pm'd me, we spoke once, you got your tickets (which must have cost a fortune for a next day departure from a small town to another small town!), and were here after making 3 plane connections the very next day ... THAT is dedication! We had previously pm'd about transporting a dog, but other than that you only had what we had posted previously to form an opinion of us ... very brave of you to trust us The sushi on the way home in some little podunk town i
  16. DnN I assume Gecko's going to do a thread with some of his pics, he took a bunch but I don't want to put them up without his permission ...
  17. I don't know how that dogs bred, would assume stag or stag/hotblood?
  18. I don't see a problem with it either, just thought it was interesting! Arpaio has the right idea, he advocates a bare bones prison approach rather than the full gym/200 TV channel feeling of entitlement some jails and prisons have. I did get yelled at by the warden for what I was wearing though ... I thought a below the knee skirt, flat shoes and a regular old sweater was fine, he obviously didn't, and when I asked what would be more appropriate, he said "coveralls" Needless to say I did NOT run out and buy a pair, but I will wear long pants and a to the throat button up shirt with a s
  19. at my new job I occasionally visit prisons ... the sight out this window surprised me a bit though! There were about 20 prisoners and 8 or so mounted armed guards ... the prisoners were mowing fields, and some were picking cotton and starting the rice fields on fire ... wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it!
