    if anyone wants to see a really interesting documentary on Gypsy Music and history (no dogs or horse talk though, drat!) there was something called "Gypsy Caravan" that I rented from the library. It had 5 musical groups from different countries touring the US and Canada for 6 weeks, I can't remember them all but a few were Majarajah from India (or Pakistan?), Esme from Macedonia (called the Queen of the Gypsies), Band of Gypsys I think from Italy, a few flamenco dancers from Spain, a male dancer who dressed like a woman and did a really difficult "knee dance"... regardless of how you feel abo

    have a good vet dock 6 inches off of the tail (or more depending on the extent of the injury), it worked great for my bitch and was inexpensive to do.

    nope, NOTHING that is non-indiginous to the US would be allowed in, other than "regular" animals like dogs, cats, horses, goats etc. That means no guinnea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, many snakes, spiders, lizards, monkeys etc. It is a scary, FAR reaching bill being backed and lobbied heavily for by the HSUS (our RSPCA). http://www.hsus.org/press_and_publications...ced_012709.html

    honestly though, what did everyone really expect to happen? I was HOPING that he would come on and tell his side, which MAYBE was valid.... but from all reports, Mark Brick is a jacker. period.

    my mother was a pole, her family came here during WW2 cause no one else would have them. A harder working, loyal, more frugal family could never be found ... they were something! We have a lot of Mexicans here that I guess could be compared to your Poles, they normally are good, hardworking, honest, loyal etc etc etc, and will do work and shifts that lazy Americans won't. They will live together, cook, grow their own food, fish, hunt etc, and in general make do with what they have and earn versus living off of the liberal welfare government. "Defenders, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) are part of a coalition pushing hard for passage of this bill without amendments."

    congrats LDR, I'm sure you are just glad it's finally over! I WOULD like to hear MB's side of the story, because it just doesn't make sense why he would leave like that? Surely there is more to it than that?

    a rear leg off of a hog that must have weighed about 30 pounds ... retreived straight past me and into her kennel! another dog brought in a phone book. Oh and another has brought in a couple of deer heads too

    I haven't a clue about the van nor the site nor the dogs, don't accuse me without knowing who in the hell I am, or what or who I know, just for trying to follow a story that is not very clear! I still do not understand ... if the vehicle has nothing to do with the site, why you think the dogs are there, unless the dogs were seen there, which I don't remember reading?     I must be dim then, I thought you said somewhere else that the vehicle was traced back to that site? so if the vehicle was NOT off the site, why is it that you think your dog is there?

    we really like our ducks a lot better than our chickens and geese, they are just funny to watch. The geese sound like dinosaurs so if you are looking for something quiet, DON'T get geese!

    SwissTony you asked about options ... here are a few easy ones that take a hell of a lot less effort for Al than what he has done, not to mention this thread! What about an anonymous letter to the neighbor stating the severity of the problem and saying that the authorities will be informed in 5 days (or some short, reasonable time) if the conditions do not improve and the barking does not stop. Give HIM solutions ... bark collars, dog walkers, whatever. The letter could be slipped through the letter box at 4am or sent in the mail. Or a call from a phone box down the street? Phone numbers

    the pup is on a well balanced flesh/fat/veg/grain diet (thanks to Socks training ) , so I don't feel he is getting too much nor not enough protein ... Ben, is your pup the same with her knuckle?
