  1. is it stockbroken, good with other dogs, quiet in kennels, sound with people etc? More info on it and better pics might be a good idea?
  2. right place at the right time, great shots and GOOD jumping!
  3. deer leg bones are quite good as well, lots of sinew to get through. If you know someone who is a dental technician, they will normally be happy to give you their old cast off scrapers. Or go round a kennel club show, the grooming booths often sell scrapers. But as said above BE CAREFUL, don't gash open your dogs gums, and don't scrape so hard that you damage enamel
  4. I wouldn't want to discourage that drive if you are wanting a working or high drive dog ... she is doing what is natural, and is not getting the proper stimulation, you just need to focus that energy down the proper road. one of the biggest things (other than the excercising) I got from the book was his point about the senses of dogs. They smell everything first, then sight, then hearing. Too many people forget that, I know that I did.
  5. lol what happened to DarloLad? who'd he piss off
  6. I was having some issues with a very high drive pup I got this winter. The problems were mostly ME not excercising the pup enough. He was unlike any of the terriers, other running dog breeds, collies, pits etc that I had ever had. Once I was walking him and playing with him for at LEAST an hour in the morning and a couple in the evening, the problems virtually stopped. It is not enough to be WITH the dog, you have to be active with it, teach it basic obedience, little tricks, they WANT to learn at that age. So if it can't go out because of it's jabs, put it on a leash and walk patterns in
  7. best get yourself a job then
  8. and what are you doing with that information?
  9. do you drive or know someone who does?
  10. I've found that vet powder dries and itches the dog, often causing it to chew and lick at the area. also it heals the wound from the outside in, rather than inside out. If you have a really weepy wound it is okay for a day or so, but it is better to leave most wounds open to the air and sometimes ointments.
  11. would be ideal for someone wanting a made dog
  12. am I the only one who can't see the picture?
  13. interesting looking dog, you have any more pics of him?
  14. Darlolad posted he was looking for a SalukiX dog, same price range, here's his post http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...p;#entry1018803
  15. pikesta has got one, asking $150 which is what you said you could spend, here's the link http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...c=95329&hl=
  16. don't you think that it is a lot more likely that the one farmer where you trespassed is more likely to have a word with his fellow neighbors/farmers, possibly leaving you without any of that permission at all? Put yourself in this farmers shoes ... what if YOU were that landowner. His neighbors might hate him, but you never know how tight the farming community is until you start dicking around with one. You mentioned that you were not poaching, but in another post you said something about the possibility of the dog slipping his lead in an early morning run, inferring that you ARE planni
  17. very nice looking dog, good luck with the sale!
  18. big difference between doing a job for money, and GRASSING for money
  19. All of our running dogs completely tear off or severely skin their stoppers due to some hard terrain here, we clean them well with salt water and sometimes diluted iodine (use a soft brush or soft toothbrush to clean out the grit thoroughly), and keep it clean and dry. Bandaging can hold too much moisture, you need to let the air get to it. We use an ointment called Natures Edge (I think) when something looks bad enough.
  20. my older bitch shattered one of her outside toes on her turning side, the vet took it off all the way back and she has not been hampered at all. She is 1/2 grey so her feet aren't the best, but we were both surprised how well she came out of it.

    SUSAN BOYLE

I read an interview where she says she looks forward to getting made-over, but the blonde chick judge (don't know her name) said she "won't let" her get made over, that her look is part of her charm ... of course only a beautiful young girl could say that, she isn't the middle aged woman living with her cat Pebbles who has never been kissed!

    SUSAN BOYLE

lovely voice, so surprising! For those who might not have heard her, you have to watch this clip ... you think she is going to be wank and then she opens her mouth ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY and one from a charity CD, she reminds me a little bit of Karen Carpenter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY
