if you've talked to that many people/departments/RSPCA scum about the situation, don't you think that the neighbor will find out who you are anyway?

Is lack of "knuckle" an indicator of growth ending?
Tiff replied to Tiff's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Heyya HL, yes, "Noose" is whom I'm asking about, he is about 22" as well, bigger than the collie now but a couple of inches smaller than the Sal/StagX Tia ... I am hoping for more growth on him! He is a natural head dog, when wrestling and chasing he is lethal on the neck! weren't they were born about Halloween time? Our camera was away for servicing and we've just gotten it back last week, so will take and post a load of pics probably tomorrow. Has your bitch stopped screaming? Noose hasn't ... screaming isn't the right word ... incessant barking is more like it. If he's not wi -
Is lack of "knuckle" an indicator of growth ending?

I'll take one tonight and post it tomorrow ... just a pic of the front legs from the front? -
I've got a Salxgrey pup that is almost 5 months now, but has almost no visible knuckle left to grow in to ... do the SalX's normally have knuckle to grow into, or is that not a factor to determine size with? This is my first SalX that I've had from a pup so I need some advice please

a chihuahua is more than enough for him! This time of year when there are no leaves on the trees and all of the crops are down you can see a car or lights coming a mile away. But when the corn is up all around the property and you can't see anything until it is right on you, and easy to hide in the corn, it is a bit creepy when you are on your own ... images of "Childen of the Corn" come to mind!

They HAVE to be trained right, and in the right home ... similar to the Turkish Akbash, Anatolian Shepherds and other Livestock Guard Dogs. I don't think that fat dog in the video could catch anything after trying to run for 20 yards, it looked knackered just pulling on the lead! We live rural and have goats, chickens, ducks, geese and a "guard" turkey (if you have never been chased by a pissed off tom, you would never understand how scary they can be when they are running!) along with the dogs and coon and have coyotes sounding around us nightly, coon, feral cats, wild dogs etc, so we hav

and I thought hick was anyone living IN texas

respectfully disagree here ... maybe in Texas, but we aren't too far north of TX? Kye has got a dog that is something around 23-25 pounds, and it is scary where that dog can fit, I would not believe it if I hadn't seen it. Have had chucks with him too, which I never would have bet on! there are always exceptions to everything, and I never said all good coon were under 15 pounds ...

I guess I should have been more clear ... the smaller ones are (normally) quicker and more agile, more likely to bolt, while the big ones tend to sit there/ball up ... is it because they are less concerned about the dog (older, wiser?) or are physically less agile/unfit? I don't know, just comparing the "best" coon we've had and they've been on the smaller side.

I don't think Yank is really a racist term? possum do you get a lot of otter down your way? That is an animal I've never seen worked before, but have heard they are the ultimate quarry for a terrier

we've found that normally the 10-15 pounders give the dogs way more stick than the big 30+ pounders do ... it seems in coon, bigger is normally NOT better a dog that sits a few inches back and darts forward to mix will take more damage than a dog who grabs (and keeps) hold. The mixer types just tend to take a lot of needless punishment. A dog that isn't big and/or assertive enough to keep a coon from running over them will let the coon move/bolt. It takes a decent dog to truly "work" a coon, but when they finally have the knack, they make it look easy. our 2 "pet" coon have really t

we've watched through season 3, we don't have a cable to satelite or anything, so all we watch has to be on DVD and tape. So as far as up through season 3, I like Hugo the best (Hurley), and am dying to find out why the chick with the blonde hair Libby who had been with the Others was in the same Psych hospital as Hurley? You could see her in the background of several shots, so there must be something that will come up about that! I try not to analyze anything too much because there is no way you would guess right about what is happening. Awesome show, and I am glad we watched it on DVD on

wonder if the luchers seen were actually the ones who did the damage? Could have been guilty by association? There are a couple of Soay breeders near to us, if Kye would "let" me have sheep, they would definitely be Soays!

Canon Power Shot, it takes a good banging around and takes a decent picture, cost about 60 quid

RIP was he driver, passenger? Just the 2 of them? and are the dogs alright?

I personally haven't owned any but have 2 good friends who have had 3 and 4 over the years, and have seen another dozen or so in different homes (8 were in Flyball/ Agility homes, 4 were protection dogs. Of the ones I knew first hand (that I could say I "knew" ) they were all nice, even temperamented dogs but extremely high prey drive, like a Belgian Malinois on speed. People I know said Dutchies aren't "wired" right, but that wasn't the case with the ones I "knew". Not that it isn't true, just wasn't my experience with them. Their drive could be directed, they weren't "skitty". But they

what in the hell is she doing talking to a dog that way? ugggh we have a South East Asian Orvchartka, well impressed with her already, she was butching up/growling at the mailman at 7 weeks when he got too close to her and Kye in the yard

they are fighting for their lives, until you see them worked you can't appreciate them IMO. You tell me what you would do if someone was throttling you and you had free hands to use?

that picture made me laugh ... of course my Arabic/Farsi whatever is worse than his English I'm sure!

here's an update ... and looking into it a bit, apparently the town he lives in is called Eighty Four ... he isn't 84 years old! http://www.mygtv.net/?cat=11 Man Who Was Starving And Hungry And Ate His Cat Gets Probation By newsroom | March 2, 2009 - 10:47 pm - A western Pennsylvania man who killed and ate a woman’s cat has been sentenced to probation for 23 months.
