here's just a couple of recent pics of my pup sky, sorry about the pic quality, what do you all think?

any problems feeding these? went to a butchers today who was more than happy for me to take a load for a couple of quid, so i've broken them up and put them in the freezer, but realised that I havent seen anything written about turkey carcass as food, so is it ok, or are the bones to big/brittle? i shouldn't think so but wanted to check, cheers!

Just wondering if anyone uses this honey on wounds to help the healing process on themselves or there dogs? My dad recently had a heart opp, and the wound wasn't healing. Anyway when he was on dialysis, one of the nurses told him to try putting manuka honey on it. I took the p!55 calling him a hippy, witch doctor, but it seemed to work pretty quick,!

Got the same setup pal, i'd probably be wanting £150 if i was to sell up. Why u selling, upgrading?

Don't rate shirley's stuff try panacur, they sell it in pets at home, or you'll probably find it cheaper online somewhere. I know times are hard, been laid off myself, but if you can't afford to worm your pup, should you be taking one on at all?

nearly died from a burst appendix, when i was about 15. had peritinitus, tubes going in and out of me all over, the pain was so bad i just kept asking the nurses to kill me! To make matters worse i had long hair at the time, and the nurses kept puttin bows in it made of bandages, oh and the doctor said i shouldn't be on the kids ward cause i was so hairy!

I'm in no way an experienced dog man, but think the pup looks real good, not as heavy as i would have thought, and looks like it'll turn out to be pretty useful. Are all the pups turning out like the one above, or are some heavier built?

My favourite way to cook rabbit, is fried up with bacon, onions and mushrooms, and seasoned, and then slow cooked either in the oven or on the hob with plenty of cider, root vegetables, and a bit of sage and honey. One of my family and friends favourite dishes!

Lifesaver mate cheers! Did the narrow corridor thing to begin with, not working at home now though, but i think i'll try it on the drive to my mates farm, which has thick hedges each side, and a gate at the end to keep his alsations in the yard. She hasn't lost interest in the toys i've been using, just not interested in me having them back! Again thanks for the advice.

cheers SJM, tried all that to get her to the point she was at, reckon i'll just try and start at the begining again. But she won't retrieve back to me when i sit in her bed in the kitchen, with all the doors closed like she did at 7 weeks!

Right until last thursday, i thought i had the most amazing pup in the world! Then she started diving at cars, (which i have started another thread about), but rather than having her retrieve to hand out in the fields, even her recall is totally gone, even in the garden. I know she's only just over 3 months old, and i may have been asking too much of her, but what do i do now? Basically i've been unsucessfully trying to call her in, but i'm worried that just calling her in while she's bolting about the place, will instill behaviour where she'll just ignore me. I've tried running away fro

Cheers mate i'll give it a go, had a day off walking near the road today, just a run in the fields. Gonna get her out and about this weekend, possibly in a carpark where the cars are will be slower than on the road, and so it will be more controlled. I'm glad you understand how concerning i've found this!

I wouldn't use them, they can have a very bad effect on the kidneys and heart. They are really good for joint pain in humans though!

Took my pup out for a walk tonight, as i have been doing the last 3 wks or so, and she tried diving at every car that went past (she hasn't done this before)! Obviously she was on a lead, but it was quite worrying, probably dived at 100 cars! Any advice folks?

Just to let you know my local paper printed my letter, it was edited, but not in a bad way really. So writing in isn't always a dead loss!
-
Glad you all thought it was good, it's been sent, i reckon the anti's are always posting to the media, so why don't we all start complaining, writing back to letters pages, e.t.c., sure 1 or 2 letters may be ignored, but if everyone on here wrote to their local rag, i bet a few letters would be printed then! Oh and everyone contact the bbc and have a winge about their unbalanced programming!!!
-
last week there was a letter in my local rag attacking simon hart of the countryside alliance, and various forms of hunting. So as i am complaining to the bbc about iolo williams progamme, i thought that i would right a letter back to the local paper, what do you guys think? In response to the letter by , I for one will be voting for the conservatives in the next general election, with one of the reasons being that I would welcome the repeal of the hunting act. I have no problem with 'Dead foxes having been savaged by hounds left with their guts hanging ou

aswell of discussing things on the forum, it might be worth sending a complaint to the bbc? highlighting that due to comments made in the programme, people may be persecuted by the general public, when carrying out legal activites e.t.c, and could end up wasting police time? I've done this about iolo's programmes, and had a poor answer, but i'm gonna keep on at them!!!

great pic's mate, reptiles and amphibians have long been an interest of mine, especially like the pics in the pond, bet there's not many frogs about now though! -
My mate was on a budget, and got a bsa comet. Cost about £130, seems a tidy accurate gun for the money, and a good starter tool for hunting. With regards the 'chinese' argument, my experience with the air rifles are a couple of B2's and a lion, which mates had when we were kids. They were terrible, but perhaps the modern ones are much better? And at the time i'd of given anything to own one, so it's horses for courses!

how about spook? -
apologies, was looking at possible exclusions, but as i may sell some bunnies i think i'll give it a miss incase of dispute! My mate from the NFU got back to me, 90 something quid £2000 cover, £114 for £4000 cover per year, for working dog, doesn't seem bad, but i'll have to check out their terms and conditions.
-
Well i guess i just believe in honesty (only cause if i lie i always get caught out!). I wouldn't want to be paying out x number of pounds per month, for a claims investigator to invalidate a claim. Just cause other people may be dishonest, doesn't mean i have to follow suit! I've got a mate who works for nfu mutual, and he's gonna see how much it will cost to insure a working dog for me, probably be a riduculous premium, but i thought i'd give it a go.
-
Did an online quote with tesco, for my new pup, but their terms and conditions states that the insurance excludes dogs used for work, racing, guarding, or monetary gain, which i guess would invalidate a lot of peoples claims?
