  1. Definately about the banter. Few beers, good company, the rest is just the icing on the cake... matt Couldn't agree more, exactly why I went today, to support the hunt. The rosettes were a bonus and my daughter was made up with hers in the child handler but I just can't take showing seriously, especially on a hot day like this, my boy hates being manhandled into standing correctly etc.
  2. Someone at the show I was at had a paddy because the greyhound class was on sooner than he anticipated and he was so rude to the steward I couldn't believe it. He is (according to my sister) a real trophy hunter though, he goes all over to show his dogs and don't get me wrong they look very good but isn't showing supposed to be for enjoyment..?! Tw*ts like that just annoy me!
  3. I saw loads of washed up fish not long ago but I have no idea what they were as they just had tails left and I didn't get too close as the dogs kept trying to eat them! I don't know what it was here today, it was cooler where I live right on the coast but I went inland a bit for the Chid and Lec countrymans dayand it was pretty warm there, came home early as it was too hot for the dogs really.

    Top Gear

It was brilliant. I'm hopefully off to the next series, it should have been this one but I didn't get off my arse in time to go. I loved the entrance to the England VS Germany challenge, class.
  5. I'm on MSN but rarely use it and wouldn't post it on an open forum. Don't use Bebo though.
  6. Um, I can't think of any song I really hate right now which is odd for me! I hated Low by Flo Rider when it came out but its grown on me now and I don't mind it.
  7. I finally managed to watch it on iPlayer, very amusing! Watch JC give Hammond a leg up was bloody funny!
  8. I can change a tyre but thankfully so far i've not had too. A friend taught me years ago, long before I could drive as we got a flat on the way home from work one day.

    getting bit

My daughter's pony took a chunk out of my thigh the day we got him home, one of the racehorses and polo ponies have taken various chunks out of me over the years and Paris my bridle bitch bit me once but it was because i'd shoved my fist in her mouth to stop her killing next doors cat...
  10. I love this one. Thanks Bess, you reminded me of Carly Simon, I love most of her stuff but this one is a fave. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ_X4DeEcKk And this one.
  11. I'm not quite 27 and grew up with cassettes too, they weren't that long ago. My first car had a cassette player for ages until I put a cd player in it.
  12. I have loads of songs that are special for various reasons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKUVjwdIWBk This one will always have meaning but there are too many to really narrow down.
  13. Definately. Was standing next to an Irish MFH yesterday and could have listened to him talk for hours. Quite partial to a nice scottish or welsh accent too.

    hounds

We had a lovely day, I always love going to Peterborough, it was a long day for my daughter though.
  15. My sister's bf has a lovely accent from Dumfries but I doubt he'd do it somehow... My friend frequently tells me that I sound like a porn star on my answerphone. What about an irish accent...
  16. Get your friend to try rescue remedy to calm the dog. As already said, don't fuss the dog during a storm or whatever the trigger is but do suggest a tshirt or similar that smells of the owner/whoever the dog has the best bond with. A loudish radio may help and some people may suggest a DAP diffuser although I found it didn't work on a terrier, a larger and calmer breed may benefit more though.
  17. Thanks Miss T. I shall check it out. My birthday isn't til bank holiday weekend so I might have to take a little trip over to Brighton with some mates and have a scout round... Edited to add... I looked at the website and I think I may have been there before it was what it is now. Is it on 2 levels? And do you know if it used to have a beetle as a DJ booth, well the front of it was, the back was turned into a sofa. If its where i'm thinking its a teeny little club and it used to have a DJ upstairs and live band downstairs. I may be thinking of somewhere different but the way its described
  18. We're not sure yet. Although I live within easy reach of Brighton I rarely go there on a night out so I don't know it that well. I'll avoid The Honey club though, I really didn't like it when I went. Do you have any recommendations Miss T?
  19. I love a good night out but I rarely go these days. I'm just in from work tonight and had a really good evening til someone got glassed just as we were kicking out! My next big night out will be my birthday next month, we're going to Brighton in fancy dress, can't wait. I like a night in too but it obviously depends on the company.
  20. Oh you will be sweetie...
  21. Bless. Well done to your mum and brother.
  22. I like some of the classics too. Fawlty Towers and Blackadder.

    TV & Movies

A little house on an estate that we hunt round was used as the cottage in Jonathon Creek. If anyone watched Marco Pierre White last night he got his ham from the estate where we have our opening meet. The village I stay in with my sisters godfather in Cornwall was used for a lot of filming, parts of The 3 Musketeers with Chris O'Donnell and Keifer Sutherland was filmed there and lots of old war films. Actually filmed around the area I live I don't know of anything...
