Everytime we have one of these threads I can never narrow it down enough and then other songs come up and remind me how much I love them. I love this song... Kiss the Rain
  2. There was an article in The Field a few years ago about Big Cats in Britain with a map of sightings etc. According to that a big cat will travel up to 500 miles to find a mate so it is acceptable in theory that they would travel up and down the country to breed. I know what I saw at close range and it was easily the size of a GSD but there have been no sightings in around 10 years that I know of.
  3. I hope you doormen on here aren't like the ones I know... There are a few anti's that I know of on here, probably trying to collect info and report people like they tried to do with me. One has gone quiet of late but you can bet your bottom dollar that they are still loitering. I don't see why people aren't more careful of what they post and put pictures up of... It makes me laugh when people post 'pre-ban' pics and then in a later post on the same topic say that the dog is 18 months old or whatever... Brains into use people!

    jade goodie

Maybe she is fairly vile in some people's eyes. I won't say she's the prettiest thing ever but does she really deserve cancer? A hysterectomy at 25 is a bloody big thing, i'm 27 and would be devestated even though I already have a child. She wanted her 5 minutes of fame, she got it and more but its today's society that gave it to her so complain all you want about these sorts of people taking up news space and tv channels but just think about who put them there....
  5. Trust you. Its true though, once the allure of looks wear off whats left...
  6. So how many of you have found your perfect partner and stayed together once the allure of the looks have worn off?! Looks are one thing but they do not a relationship make...
  7. Feel the love on this forum...
  8. Nice to see some of you lads see past appearences...
  9. Didn't realise there were so many from this area on here.

    RIP

Sorry to hear that, my thoughts are with you and the rest of her family and friends.
  11. Congratulations! I went for something unuaual for my daughter but it is now quite a popular name. Depends what you fancy really and what you both agree on.
  12. I hunt with a foxhound pack although we hunt a trail now to keep within the law. I also hunt with staghound packs and occasionally minkhounds.
  13. Not quite, i'm thankful for that too, the tourists would drive me mental. I did work in The Eagle a few years back though.
  14. You must be very close to me then Nova2006
  15. I never thought I had a particular type but it seems I do. I like a rugged looking man, nice eyes and seem to have a thing for rugby players and doormen mostly. I think its about time I grew out of that particular fascination..!

    BRAVEHEART

Well I liked it. So there. I'm good thanks my dear.

    BRAVEHEART

I love Braveheart but its not very accurate. Rob Roy is another good film but if you want a good Liam Neeson film try Michael Collins if you haven't seen it or Gangs of New York. If you can get past the crap accents from Cameron Diaz and Leonardo Dicaprio its a bloody excellent film!
  18. Personally if the dog was fit and healthy then i'd say around 8 but it all depends on how hard it is worked I guess. My greyhound bitch still runs at 9 but she's not worked she had a fairly hard racing career and although she likes taking a turn after the rabbits I let her take it fairly easily. She's getting to the point that after she's pushed herself she's stiff but I can't stop her from running with my other two unless I kept her on a lead which isn't fair on her. I do however put her back on the lead before them so she doesn't totally knacker herself out.
  19. Thanks guys, i'll pass comments on to the boy. I think he's gorgeous but I would, he's my problem child! I didn't have my camera with me at the show there were only two lurchers at the whole show and i'd have thought being run by a rescue there might be a few more as most rescues seem to be full of lurchers. Was a lovely afternoon out though and hopefull raised some cash for the rescue who recieve no funding whatsoever. Thanks Hagar, a couple more shots here, not taken by myself though.
  20. Lovely. They enjoy trips to the beach don't they.
  21. I took Griff to a charity dog show today and guess which class he won.... Most handsome dog! He then qualified for best in show and was narrowly beaten by an Akita. The judge said it was between the two, will my scruffy lurcher ever live it down?! My handsome boy.
  22. The lurcher in my sig sounds a lot bigger and scarier than he is. He's never had to defend me or the house but he can be quite protective of myself and my daughter so I would hope he'd do the job if he had too. Can be unnerving living on our own sometimes, especially with my next door neighbours!
  23. So sorry, my thoughts are with his family and friends.
