And they can run as fast as a greyhound! I wondered about entering one down the local track!
-
Correct Dave.

They do like worms and slugs....right up to when they find a nest of birds or rabbits, a chicken or lamb, a deer kid or hedgehog. Throw the fairy tale books away mate!
-
I will check them out mate. Very kind of you as always ? Thank you mate.
-
I have one of them on it....I was hoping to better it mate.

So far Fairweather is doing well and I am quite impressed. It's connected well with a couple of items and in this wind we have just now. It is I think with my atec muffler on as quiet if not quieter than my unmodded 22 with HV ammo. It certainly is safer. The stock is made of pallet wood by the looks but it's looking better as the true builds up on it. I'm wanting better glass now but want it for nothing! I wish you could get a fixed 7x. Any ideas on good glass that ain't going to fleece me?

Or go freelance!

Shoot them I think..... ??

Well I saw my lamp shy again. Green LED didn't make any difference at all ?. Had a good walk before on another place but the grass is long. Despite that I watched some hares and good news....the rabbits are recovering from myxy. I did find where a fox had caught a hare though!

I've been stalking this evening too mate. Me and Fairweather. Just having a brew then nipping to a farm for an hour with the lamp.

where are all the pum action shotguns
Sausagedog replied to .357shooter's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Owned a few. Mossberg, Savage, Remington and Winchester's. I prefer them over automatic actions. I had a 20g 870 a while ago and it was like a wand. Always fancied an Ithaca or Browning bps. -
I've had split necks after shooting today from old and new Remington ammo. Also the Winchester ammo. The good group from the Remington ammo was spoilt by an obvious blooper. I heard the difference and that is the low shot in that group. I just pulled the two did Winchester's I had today and there was powder and primer present!

Think so Ben when I've wasted the rest....to be honest though I've just walked to a concrete chunk I put in a bank about the size of a fox. I can shoot at it for hundreds of yards if I wish. I shot five of each at it at something like 150+ and every one was in the centre off sticks and in this wind!

Fairweather test day in zee wind! I managed to shoot with the wind but fear the odd swirl upset a bullet or two. Here is the target. First off the shooting position was the cars interior. Using the adjusted passenger seat and steering wheel I fashioned a stable bench rest arrangement. Starting lower center target moving clockwise the old Remington v max were poor. Nearly every case split on firing audible difference could be heard shot to shot. The Remington accutips were looking awesome then a sqib spoilt it, it's case was split badly! The Winchester 17g we

I'm the same mate. Bang a couple of para's in you when you go up?
-

3:30am I was up the bloomin chicken units! Nothing, no tracks no nothing! Checked the camera, one blurred image from the night before last. Hope side lever got his.
-
I need a set of them then!
-
The eyes, the eyes...?
-
No such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing! I've named my new rifle. Fairweather!
-
Cz. I do like Browning products right up to their triggers on their rifles made after 1990! Their lever actions except the BLR are ok to work on but other than that....
