Best between cz457 and browning t bolt

I went and checked the zero on the 457 hmr yesterday after some missing recently. Glad I did. It was off by over 2" high and left!. Funny thing is i am not aware of knocking the scope that bad so as to cause such a drift! Got it back to +1/2"@100. -3"@150 & -9"@200. I was pleased with its grouping just off sticks. When I got home I pulled a patch through the bore. Wet with condensation! -
Because they can. If you "dont care" why comment?

Sure. But dont be fooled by this old man! All my rifles over the years, all sporter weights and some lighter have shot well beyond 100yds with many memorable shots beyond 300yds. It is somewhat a myth about shots walking being totally linked to barrel weight. Many other factors play a role. In fact a heavy barrel with poor stress relief work will also walk its shots. I stand by what life has shown me. Heavy or bull barrels came about by bench rest shooters after calibre groups and prairie dog shooters trying to reach the tiny critters to beyond 800yds and not shooting foxs and g

I hate heavy rifles. Even when I was slim and young I always went for nice handling off hand because it's the close encounters I dont want clutter in the way and I want to walk miles. Unless you're shooting at long range for multiple shots it makes no difference except if one has a short barrel of say 18" but even then you are starting to rob long range performance so may as well keep some length and lose the weight. I still say the average is under 100yds for pretty much everything shot. Only prairie dog towns and match shooters need heavy barrels in my worthless opinion.

Without someone spotting rifles with some recoil can be a pain to see what happened when or if it goes a wry. -

My glasses are terrible. I thought some one had parked a bike ?

It's the lawyers! They advised the police that despite being given authority to inspect medical records they don't! And because they dont if a nutter goes nuts the police force could be sued for not checking medical history possibly. So and because they dont have time or people to check medical records they are 'passing the book'! Where, in my opinion the medical council have gone wrong is by agreeing to it. They should of refused which would of thrown it back in the police hands which after all, it is their job to enforce the dumb or otherwise acts of parliament and n

They are a better unit yes with easy adjustment for over travel, weight and sear adjustment. The weight on the lightest adjustment is just about agreeable for me. To get lighter the spring needs replacing and is in no way as easy as a 452 Deker. The unit would need a complete strip down and with none that look the correct size in my stock I didnt bother.....for now. -
Ahhr. Experts! X= the unknown factor and pert as in like an erect nipple!

9 stone!! ? near 15 -
I love hunting rabbits in these cold conditions. Finding them in the briers sheltering from the wind. Sneaking about avoiding the twigs. I missed plenty but got two in the end. One sat 30yds and one at 3yards! I cant get over the number of walkers about! They are everywhere and its disturbing ☹

Good bullet choice. Do you know how quick it's going. Some get them close to 4000. -

Even in cold easterly winds a 22 and hv ammo is good. -

See now that is where we are different. I like a rimfire to be petite and not feel like a huge CF! In fact that is why I like the cz527 range of center fires. They are petite mini mausers. Must be because I have girls hands ? -

It's all part of the service. Clear and concise guidance always. Otherwise how would you choose ? -
Hyper velocity LR & subsonic magnums?
Sausagedog replied to Dervburner's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I never implied they are useless Meece though! I have shot many hv 22 that are plenty accurate for vermin shooting. I should of been clearer , the hypers dont seem to offer anything more than a good hv. They seem less stable at extended range. Probably the trans sonic stage over a standard weight bullet coming down from super sonic. -

The gold triggers on brownings stay gold for yonks because no one shoots them much because of sore finger after ten rounds. ? -

To be fair....changing the spring on a cz 457 is a pain in the azz! -
I had one. It was very accurate but suffered terrible magazine jams with subsonic ammo. Perfect with hv. The trigger needs stone work too. The hammer is light and only contacts the pin. Consequently when you fit lighter recoil springs to try and make them cycle sub sonic ammo it just Jack's the bolt off the ammo losing inertia from the firing pin! Better designs have the hammer also pushing on the breach block at the end of their travel. Bet they are reliable in the larger rimfires.

I cant recommend a Remington made after 1990! And then their design has a safety flaw. Get the tikka.

The foul stench comes from their A hole. I know this because I coaxed my mate to pick one up one cool spring morning and when he did I watched this substance ejaculate all down his leg ???
