  1. Next one will be lamping with Missy and lass I think local then cooking a curry with it. Not big numbers but harder to catch. Then got a couple ferreting and lamping on new permission vids. Thanks
  2. I honestly prefere it to day if I'm honest. Especially when your poaching. I'm hoping some new ground will be ideal. Not seen what rabbit numbers are like yet but it's sheep pasture. So hopefully some nice open warrens.
  3. Thanks mate. Sounds good to me. Been good weather recently? How about tonight? Im ferreting tomorrow but could try for a few hours later. Pm me
  4. Another video. Night time ferreting and lamping with gtpestcontrol In this video I go night time ferreting on a full moon ( Old poaching method). I'm with a young keen hunting lad called Ashley. Hes a big help on the night and helps carry the equipment and rabbits and even helps dispatch a few rabbits too. Im using the Infra red filter from Ian Hodge Fieldsports supplies and its been a great help for spotting rabbits and other wildlife like a fox you see at the beginning of the video. Im using two hob ferrets ones a albino (HUNTER) and the other a is a silvery
  5. I was invited out for a days ferreting. We struggled but finally caught a couple in the end. It was nice to be out with different lads on different land. Not used to ferreting hedges anymore though. Too much like hard work. Btw I'm hoping to get some more invites out if anyone is willing. On permission. Close to nottingham or within a couple hours driving distance. It's good to look back on imo. No costs involved and just my word I won't be poaching your land as some others have tried saying I will. There will be no charge for this. I want my channel to be enjoyed for as long as I
  6. Thanks guys. Yes, Brandon always puts coat on her and feeds after a night out. It's a long day but easier for the driver. Didn't feel tired driving home. Normally sleep before we drive back.
  7. We started ferreting at 11, plan was to ferret a wood but when we arrived we noticed pheasants and feeders so we sacked that idea and ferreted the horse paddocks instead. You can see the main warren from the road and you will always see 5 or so rabbits sitting outside it. Not anymore though. We had a few digs today, 4ft the deepest, rocks in the soil for the first foot then it weren't too bad digging. We got one in longnet and couple in purse nets. Brandon had a dig on a 2 holer, and he caught two from 3 from another warren. We then went to a smaller wood and we had a few more in nets. A
  8. Why you breeding for better coat? Heard your a fine weather ferreter these days vin. You just stand talking to keeper whilst Tomo gets wet lol Good luck with finding the right dog I have also liked the rough haired dogs. Always fancied a deer grey x saluki grey.
  9. This is the dog in this old video. Some pratts in this game. What does it say about me then? Like I say I was 14-15 and loved the dog. Thought she was best in the world when she caught her first two rabbits but it never ever got much better from then. The dog was the most nervous dog you could imagine and she was scared of anything turning on her so would only run if it was running away. Made her first catch at 2 year old. A hare in March 2005. Year of the ban.
  10. Well I was 14 at the time. She never done it before so what you trying to say?
  11. Some great advice. I can't wait for my next pup. I'm in the same boat but with a 4year old pointer x. She's just started to run the beam now after 6 outing. Nothing better than running the real thing.
  12. We had one from hancock and she was weird. 3/4 grey x 1/4 beardie I remember her coming back from lamping and when we pulled up home and let her out she ran off. She wouldn't take squatters. Her best bag was 5 on a numerous occasions. So I got a pup and before she was 1 she caught 12 on same land. In the end she went to a pet home.
  13. Wasn't Jim but his mate. Jim did help carry and lamp for him on Jim's spot. Dog wasn't aching today either. That's some going. Well done Trev. Looks like it be a great night tonight.
  14. Yes mate. She isn't my type of runner either but she's clever and it shows. My old dog was about retired before you was 4 because she had knocked herself up so much. He's looking to line lass with his other dog Duke. If the pups get the best of both these dogs they will brilliant. I'm so tempted to have one but we will see when the time comes. Duke is gems brother. Gem was a great dog. Duke is the same. Makes easy work of catching but Brandon put most of his time into lass so dukes never had the scores lass has caught. Check duke out in this ferreting vid
  15. Great to hear mate your dog seems to be doing the buisness. How's the retrieve? How's your dog bred? I feel terrible catching the numbers knowing lads are struggling for a few. Last time we got 41 with one dog. But we travel 300 mile to get them numbers.
  16. Thanks a lot mate. Thought I might have gone over kill with the slowmo but it's good seeing the footwork and turn and strikes. Thanks pal. He's use the David Lloyd lamp. It's led with battery in handle. Same as the clulite plr500 .Both me and my cousin have one. We had them for 3 season now and they still good for rabbits. I use the old striker with 100w bulb for more light. Thanks mate. No it's not easy, been trying since I was a kid. I wish I had a even better camera now. Some of the footage could be abit more focused. Yes mate it's nic
  17. New lamping video. LAMPING WITH LASS THE LURCHER . Very clear footage and some great runs. This is one of best lamping videos with my new camera. Lass caught 41 rabbits on the night from about 55 runs. Stick it on the tv tonight. Switch the lights and watch it in the dark. I hope you enjoy it. https://youtu.be/gAHg_g8_UuY
  18. Nothing wrong with the way I speak Tomo. Thank you very much chaps. I will post a new one in next few days. Btw I did have to check whatarticulate meant lol
  19. In this video I'm out ferreting for rabbits with Ryan and his lurcher pup Max. Its Max's first day out ferreting with Longnets. We return back to Ryans permission which has open warrens and is perfect for hunting rabbits. Ryan start by surrounding the warrens with a 50 yard Longnet and a ten yard stop net which has a leaded bottom line from Rabbitfever.co.uk Max is a natural at jumping the longnets and is also friends with the ferrets. Ryan lets him have a sniff around the rabbit holes but when Ryan enters the ferrets he puts Max in position to observe the rabbit warren whilst we let
  20. Left over a hare in a photo basically and my cousin didn't like what tiercel sent him in pm. Something to do with police would be knocking on his door and cousin took that as a threat.
  21. Yes I haven't blocked it out it's on my video. If you didn't see it. Watch the big bull x make it look easy. I haven't always been so kind with the dogs and still forget but it's better to look after them. They deserve it. That's a long way to travel mate. I bet you wounded. Better luck next time.
