  1. I was talking to ella yesterday about my first trips to the Dale's mate. When I was 17 and had sciatica. Your a top bloke and a great friend for taking me on these trips. When we going again? I break up from work on the 18th. Just saying. Lol Ella will love to have a day on the Dale's ?
  2. Great night lamping with ella again. We started at half 7 with a lovely hare pasty cooked by ella before we got on the road. Pip made 3 great catches. What a great bitch to watch. Crazy to think she was going to be PTS before ella took her on and gave her a chance. This game is full of idiots. Anyway Bud picked up two squatters. I was more pleased because he retrieved them both. The second one was to hand which was nice because he stopped doing it this season. I was watching him through the thermal. He dropped the rabbit, took a look around the field. I called him and he picked it back up and
  3. Have you ever had rabbit in spain? When I went to lanzarote I had it 3 times and it was amazing everytime.
  4. We got a three day trip planned on the 21st so I'm looking forward to that. We will be lamping, ferreting, mooching and cooking some of the catch. Ella said shes not fussed about big bags but I think it be harder not to do a big bag. It will be ideal for her pup and I'm looking forward to getting Bud some more runs. I think we might even try a couple drops at night with the longnet and possibly some air rifle shooting.
  5. I was asked to ferret a farm last weekend. We managed a couple bolts but was expecting it to be better. We only found two decent Warren's but one was next to a drain. I wasnt using locaters because I have misplaced the collar batteries. In the week I went lamping with my mate Ella and her dogs. It was a great night using the thermal spotter. Ella's running mother (pip) and daughter (trudy) . Hope you enjoy the vid.
  6. Out this morning mooching about just as it was getting light. Managed two decent runs then back home for half 8. On the way back we found a dead hare so I took it home. I cooked the loin for breakfast and the dogs and ferrets had the rest. What a tasty start to the day. #Finditcookiteatit.
  7. For me the filming and editing is just as good as the hunt. I love getting back and watching all the clips. Then editing it together and watching it again. I cant see how someone can gather enough info from your videos to locate a certain area unless they already know about it. Keepers and farmers not see it like that though. But I see your point. If they are using your name it could easily lose you your permission. Have a good season mate.
  8. I dont know why we enjoy it as much as we do. Late nights, early mornings, shit weather, bad nights, injurys, vet bills, fines, feeding and cleaning out, Long drives, cost of fuel. Relationship breakups. Internet wars, jealousy, All this to catch a couple rabbits lol But I cant help myself. It could be a full moon but when I wana go I gotta feed that addiction lol
  9. I'm going to combine a few nights lamping into the next video. Some bad misses, some shit filming but it helps build a story. I'm really enjoying nipping out and catching a couple at a time. I would prefere to catch a few more which would meant we didnt missed too many but I'm enjoying it all the same.
  10. Yes mate I totally agree with you. I'm out tonight now the dogs gone.
  11. Alot of youngsters like to watch new content chartpolski. So anyone that enjoys watching something new each week. I understand people get bored of seeing same hunting videos. Me included. But I'm hoping I can add abit of a story to them that will get people watching them weekly.
  12. You cant hype your dogs up because they caught thousands of rabbits in the Dale's
  13. The other night I took bud out lamping eventhough it was foggy conditions. I also took his mum, 14 year old fly for the walk. After splitting up with my partner I have been able to start putting more work into the dogs when I'm not working 7 days a week. I am also practicing my solo lamping camera setup using the olight torch. I was hoping for a couple big rabbits but we didnt see one. Not to worry because we were enjoying our late night walk so we carried on scanning the fields. Then before we headed back I noticed a squatter social distancing far enough out for a slip. Bud
  14. Lol what would you expect from your lamping dogs on the few runs you seen?
  15. I still want to go to spain and film the galgo coursing.
  16. Anyway Morton. Alot of young lads watch my videos. So I feel that these youngsters will not give up on a dog because it's not the top lamper it's meant to be. So if anything I believe my videos are good for the next generation of lurcher lads. If my shit dog is an example to have and be happy with then I imagine a lot less lads will feel shit about what dogs they have.
  17. I have had my first lurcher since I was 16. Shes 14 now. Caught many rabbits, hare and deer with her. Then when she was 7, I got Gem, she did more rabbits than i could ever imagined (68) was her best. Great ferreting bitch and good at coursing. I bred the old dog when she was 8 and now I have bud her son who's 5. The one in video.
  18. He should be banned from replying to lurcher topics if thats the case.
  19. This is the best catching dog you will ever see my friends. Proof in the pudding.
  20. In my opinion I wouldnt see anything different from the many guys I have been lamping with. I'm not here to fall out with people. The dog didnt look great but that can only be expected when you have ran a handful of rabbits since January and Just healed after a barb wire injury 5 weeks ago.
  21. More videos to come anyway. Dog flattened a rabbit a couple night ago. Video footage to prove it was a great take. He had a barb wire fence approaching so he had to move quick and time his strike well. I was lamping in the fog, when most others wouldnt have bothered going. You will only get out what you put in and I accept I havent put much into this dog but hes got it. To keen for his own good. But he will run clever like he did that hare. Like he does do daytime. But none of this matters aslong as your happy. Enjoy getting out and in my case making hunting videos.
  22. Lol I thought I owned a lamper? Or I own a dog I hunt rabbits with on the lamp and daytime and ferreting. Does it really take a great dog to be a lamper?
