  1. I new she must b about that age as I was going to have a pup from same litter but didn't and I always kicked myself for not getting one so jumped at the chance when Darbo said about the litter .
  2. It's good to see youngsters out in the fresh air and taking a interest in the country side , the big fella doing you good mate I'm glad he found a good home ,I kept one myself and he's doing fine , a good strong hob or hobs is what'a needed on long days ferreting . atvb.

Took my young bedy lurcher and ferrets out local this morning , left home on foot with my young lurcher by my side and 2 Jill's in a box over my shoulder along with spade ,net bag,and stop nets "when did it get so heavy " we had only just stepped onto a farm we had to cross to get to were we were going ferreting and a pair of roe slipped through the hedge ,thankfully my lurcher was on her leash and we quickly moved on , we ferreted a nice easy place in middle of a sheep field ,holes every were and good signs that some thing was at home ,I let my lurcher loose and left it to he

  7. Gutchcommon had better coats I was told but bigger than rillington dogs ,my uncul gave george Kelly a gutchcommon pup yrs ago that produced few good lurchers ,Darbo do you have any edrd mags with gn dogs in ,looking to get back copy's but don't no what numbers to ask 4 ,

Nice pup that , My 3q whippet q bedy bowl fox over no probs in his day and roe only time he had prob was one xmas eve the busher pushed munty out of cover ,god did my lad get kicked about ,lost few teeth that morning and one expensive vet bill to stitch him up .,heart of a lion in a 21tts dog .
  14. I agree mate genetics strange ,always puzzles me when folk say 1,8th this and that in lurchers .some best lurchers I seen pedi unknown .and when more than 3 breeds in the mix who can say how pups turn out .

They is nothing with gn breeding left ,see lots pups up for sale rillington bred lol no 3q rillington blooded dogs about today never mind pure ,maybe trace back to gn stuff but very little rillington left unles there a secret kennel out there . my uncul had gn dog yrs ago but border bedlington .
  19. to me your lurcher is bedlington x and I got a first x as I wanted to no what was in her ,she's doing me good so I'm happy ,as for looks it don't matter to me a good juck is a good juck no matter coat ,size ,breed etc . and all my dogs got a touch of bedy in them ,
  20. Bedy lurchers don't lack much if you get right one but a bit of sal will give the x more wind ,
  21. Rabbits seem to b holding out in places just not near me ,out on lamp other night not a single coney on first farm and bitch only got two runs in 4 hours ,plenty of other stuff but its rabbiting I like the best so looks like I will b traveling a lot this season .
  22. always told if there's smooth pups they not a first x bedy grey or whippet ? i have never see smooth pups in a litter of first x ,but I see smooth in reverse 3quater bedy grey . and folk buy for the coat alone are the ones destroying the bedy whippet .its a good thing there's not many breeding bedy greys as they deserve to be in hands of working folk not o look my dog all fluffy kind of people .
