  1. Deconstructed cottage pie missus ask what I was doing for tea, I said “ cottage pie “ she said I’d rather have a mince dinner it’s the same FU*KING THING, just not put together
  2. I’m not sure, I would of thought the problem with putting steel in is when you hit the concrete it vibrates the steel and cracks the concrete along the steel, unless it’s really thin wire, who knows, I’m just guessing
  3. That’s not bad if you are only going to do it once in your lifetime, there must be some amount of fibre in that concrete to be able to put them in with a post knocker and not have to dig them in
  4. I did a little horse arena a few months back and managed to get hold of some for 20 quid each, built a corner retaining wall from them, they will last forever
  5. I’ve never seen them before, they look really good, I bet they are not cheap but you will only do it once
  6. Your not wrong, them sleepers we use for beds and retainers are crap now, looked at some I put in about 6 years ago and they are rotten
  7. I’ve got a pile of posts and rails that are going back, only good for fire wood
  8. Fencing going in, the quality of the timber now is shocking, some of the posts would come back if you flung them away
  9. You are spoiled with shooting down there ? I’ve just had an invite to go out on the munty’s around Gedney, just need to get my work/ life balance in order
  10. It’s been a ruff’un so I’m having a cold one
  11. Turned up today and the beast had escaped and trashed the yard, so after moving them and cleaning up, it was a busy day, all drains in now, first lot of stone going in, concrete floor in the muck shed, apparently we need to be done by 1st June, not a chance
  12. There is already duck coming in, the wild flowers won’t do loads this year, but once they have seeded the next growth should be spot on, we will have the pond to plant up over the summer so I’ll get some pictures next time I’m back to see how it’s moved on, she has just got some funding ( I think from the woodland trust ) to plant a small wood at the back of the pond, so we’ll be putting them in as well over the winter
  13. Levelled, seeded and rolled, just as the rain started, couldn’t of timed it any better ??
  14. Well me pond has got a bit of wet stuff in it now, another month and it should be full, here today to seed a bit of grass and seed all the banking around the pond with a wild flower mix
  15. Seen a lot out on the first cut today ?
  16. 258 is a cracking distance, it shows just how good the hmr is ?
  17. I’m from Stockton and I can tell you there’s loads of fu*king mongs around here who think they are dog lads, where they were doing it is 5 minutes from the shoot I keeper, they are forever driving across fields chucking dogs out on deer, badgers whatever they light up, if they are seen up there most don’t bother phoning the law now they do nowt, a couple of loud bangs normally scatters the tw*ts
  18. I just tamped it up, looked ok, then the lad who’s job it is came and floated it off, I showed him what I did in the back of the shed yesterday with the same float and he couldn’t see any difference ( lol ) I think a trip to specsavers for him
  19. Bit of ruff farmyard concrete in the shape of a shed ramp, I don’t think I’ll put my name to this one (lol) you certainly won’t slip on it, ruff as toast
  20. Couple of Timmy’s tonight, it’s only been a 4 day week but it’s been a ruff’un
  21. ( lol ) just 52, it took me 5 hours to put 6 concrete boards in, mix and lay 2 cube and float it off, just as well I’m on an hourly rate here ?
  22. Some graft gone on there today I was moaning about putting 2 cube in the back of a shed on my own, still, on my own all day in the middle of nowhere so not too bad
