  1. Bass with creamed leeks and new spuds last night leg of mince tonight
  2. Between York and Helmsley the old girl up at the shoot told me, they were moving some of their beast to in case the restrictions reach them
  3. Beautician accused of £3.5m cocaine plot tells of 'gunman's threats' it’s all over our local rag, she’s an absolute mong, let the yanks look after her for the rest of her life don’t know why it won’t let me put the link up
  4. Levelled and tracked in, that’s it for today, we’re off duck shooting now
  5. Yeah they are having a ruff time of it at the minute, been some bluetongue found in some beast as well so there’s movement restrictions for that as well
  6. Not at the minute, but we’ve had a couple of farms shut down not far from us over the last couple of weeks
  7. Other job this morning, this weather needs to sort itself out, I could get a suntan up here
  8. Few curbs in and a second hand path that’s cleaned up ok
  9. Can you tidy up the front of a bungalow for a couple of grand, probably if we use all the leftover sh*te in the yard, let’s see how it looks at the end of the week
  10. Pork loin choppy things, kale and creamy mash tonight
  11. Hopefully if the laser is right, this should solve the problem, cut the inlet back and raised the overflow so the water should go up to the grass, covering the liner
  12. Bit of work on a pond we put in about 18 months ago, it’s settled a bit on a back corner
  13. Another Sunday beef dinner, bit more practice seen as she’s just told me I’ve got 8 for Christmas this year and she expects 3 courses
  14. Just a little nothing job today, tidy up some boarder’s, take a bit of box hedge out, set a few sandstone blocks and make a little sandstone step, 5 hours work with two tea breaks, everyone they got round never got back to them, I don’t know why you wouldn’t take jobs like this, they are just easy money and there will always be other jobs come from it
  15. Went a bit Mediterranean tonight, sea bass with a tomato and pepper stew, it was lovely, I think the only way to improve it would be with a few mussels in the stew
  16. I just use one full tin for a normal size pie, I’ve found that the cheaper tins work better because they don’t have a much jelly in them and I keep them in the fridge because it keeps the fat hard so when you mix it it doesn’t all melt straight away which keeps the mixture a bit stiffer
  17. Here goes spuds, corned beef, carrots, shallots, thyme, salt, pepper, veg stock cube, butter, ready roll pastry boil your spuds with the veg stock cube, chop your carrots and shallots and soften in a separate pan with a bit of butter, add the thyme, salt and pepper once the spuds are soft drain them off and add the carrots and shallots mix, add the corned beef and mash together, ( dont add any more butter or milk to it or it will end up a sloppy mess) roll out your pastry but don’t build your pie until your mixture is cold or you’ll end up with a soggy bottom, into the
  18. I was getting that way when I was working on the hgv’s tried something new and so far it’s worked out
  19. Yeah, I’m always on with something different, I was asked yesterday to go on a demolition job and I’ve got a load of farm fencing to do, but I do like doing this type of job
  20. Yeah, customer has got what they wanted, a level garden, they had 3 or 4 others round to price the job but they all said they couldn’t have it level, 300 ton of backfill, a retaining wall and 40 ton of top soil shows they can have it as they want. Once the path is in and the lawn is established it will all be planted up so it won’t look so bare
  21. To this, 4 weeks, went over by a week, but my mate who’s job it is isn’t bothered, so I’m guessing he’s got a very good price in, I’ll be back to put the path in in a couple of months once we see if there’s any settlement ( which they will be )
