That’s a lovely looking little fella ?
-
I’d take a cold dark winter night over a summer’s night anytime, them days are for pigeons and sitting by the water drinking cold beers ??
-
I love it, foxing in the cold frosty air but it’s always nice to get back in the motor and put the fire on ?
-
They are definitely worth a go, I’ve got one on one of the mouse guns, I’ve noticed that sometimes I find myself looking for the reticle on my other rifles for a few seconds until everything comes into focus but with the illuminated scope it’s there as soon as I put my eye to it as long as it’s on the lowest setting, otherwise there’s to much light on the glass and it looks a bit foggy ?
-
Take it steady fella, as long as you take it easy a walk out in the crisp air will do you the world of good, have you tried an illuminated reticle for your night shooting

I’m in Stockton on Tees, I don’t think he’s far from me
-
I’ve been looking at a few reviews of it and I haven’t found any that say they don’t like it ( yet ) I think what I need now is to find someone who has them in stock and is willing to let me fit it to my .243 to see how it sits on the rifle and to find out if it’s as idiot proof as it looks because if it isn’t Forrest Gump simple it isn’t for me ?
-
It’s all in the eyes, be afraid, be very afraid ?
-
Maybe the ran out of cartridges and started using spears ?
-
On the .243 a vortex viper 6 -24x50 and on the .17hmr MTC 4-16x50
-
I think that could be what I’m looking for, I don’t like the screen nv and want to keep my day scope, what’s the ir like on it, it would be mainly be used on my .243 so would I need an ad-on ir
-
Cheers mate, I’ve just had to google that to see what it is, that’s how far behind the times I am, that looks a proper bit of kit, do they just clip onto any scope
-
It’s no good I’m going to have to join the dark side and get myself a night vision ad-on in case this situation arises again
-
That’s a proper spot of luck, you must have some friendly farmers down your way ?
-
To top my night off the bloody virgin has just gone off, the missus rang up and they know about it and it should be back on by 4:30am ?
-
Ha ha, we don’t tend to use the word “man” when describing this one

So having a free evening I thought I’d have a walk out, now I have three let’s call them grown ups that come out with me, one had other arrangements, one is in no state to do anything with a trapped nerve in his neck and the others missus won’t let him out so I thought I’ll take one of the nephews out, the first one, It’s to cold and I’m going to have a bath ( I’m worrying that there’s something wrong with this lad ) the second one, I’m playing fortnite, so you would rather sit in playing a computer game than come and have a go at a fox with a real .243, the reply YEAH, what is the world comin

I can’t work out how to put the listing up on here but this is the item number 223280190624, I’ve just had a look and they have put the price back up to £37 but I think when I bought it it was about £28 and I made an offer and it was accepted
-
Not sure if this is of any interest to any of you but I thought I’d put it up anyway, I got this off evil bay to use in a couple of places where I need to bait foxes, new and delivered for £23 it works a treat day or night, the only thing it doesn’t come with is batteries or an sd card

There was plenty of the tree rats about today, but I think the .243 might of been a bit over the top for them I went up this morning for a few reasons, firstly to feed up and to see where the birds were so I could make a little drive plan for our next outing in a weeks time, there seems to be about four drives that are still holding good numbers, I got there at first light so I could see where the birds had been over night, they were where I had expected them to be, they seem to have stayed close to the two main release pens this year, secondly thought I’d have a look for a fox at day b
-
Ha ha, bless him, I’m out at first light in the morning if he wants to offer himself up to stop a fox getting shot I’ll take him up on it ?
-
Don’t encourage him, you wrong un, he’d be better off buying a nurf gun, more accurate ?
-
Aaaaaaah, don’t do it ??

Hello and welcome mate, the advice I always give to people that are just starting out is on the rabbit front, forget farmers to start with unless you know them or know anyone who does and try small holdings and stables, just be polite and offer your services as for the shotgun and the excitement that is pigeon shooting, if you do a bit of clay shooting then it’s time to make friends at the clay ground there will be plenty of people there who shoot pigeons, best of luck ?

After asking a few more questions of his mate who went with him he said he doesn’t know where he’s got that price from because they did a package deal, ?, he said for walked up ptarmigan with the chance of an odd grouse was £550 for a full day on the scree slopes, you could keep a brace of grouse per gun but couldn’t keep any ptarmigan, the only thing the crank got right was there needed to be 4 guns, sorry I mislead you a bit there ?
