  1. Nice work Bernard sausage, this is one bird that lends itself very nicely to been take the old fashioned way and it’s nice to see someone keeping this way of shooting going ?
  2. Bog roll will be going in tomorrow, looking what others take with them I think I’m going to need a bigger bag
  3. Chocolate bars, that’s what I need in it?
  4. I have a lad that I take out and every time he comes he brings a bag with him, so I asked him what was in it, it was anything you could think of that you may need when out shooting, knife, batteries, nightvision, gloves etc etc, he then said I always forget something ( he’s right) so it will be in his bag, so I’ve decided to put a bag together to just pick up and chuck in the motor whenever I go out no matter what the shooting may be, does anyone else do this or is it just me that would forget his head if it wasn’t screwed on ?
  5. I think it was more his excitement than the rain, I could of picked up a conker from the tree we were under and dropped it with that, it was that close ?
  6. It’s been a bit quite on the therapy front over the past few weeks but as I sat down in front of the telly my phone rang, “ Can we get out for a bit? “ my reply “ it’s pouring down mate “ this fell on deaf ears so I picked him up and set off to the sheep farm, on arrival the rain had got heavier so we got ourselves under the biggest tree we could find and set away with the caller, after 10 minutes I spotted eyes in the bottom corner, this turned out to be two badges having a scrap, giving it another 40 minutes another set of eye appeared in the same place as the badgers but this time you coul
  7. There’s nothing better than free range kids, get them started young, Hugo started coming out with us when he 3, as soon as he could walk, I have nephews that I have taken out once or twice that have been corrupted by the PlayStation generation and are not interested in anything apart from the rifles, I fear it’s to late for these little whoppers but when you get them early and show them things that there mates never get to see, you can make a proper decent lad or lass out of them ?
  8. Yeah we’ve always used it, only problem with it is the supplier never gets the order right, on the upside we never pay the full invoice because there’s always a delivery mistake
  9. Always nice to take the pictures sunny side up ? sometimes I’ll take a picture of the messy side just to show what some rounds can do
  10. Go for it mate, anything to keep the kids safe ?
  11. Well it’s now pouring down and my helper has decided he’d rather be in the truck, no dedication these youngsters

  15. I’ve not had any screaming yet, but it’s not long at all before the start pairing up as we are getting closer to the start of our season it’s time for me to start feeding further out with the help of Hugo the birds are looking well if not a little damp, they are sill hanging around in the groups not far from there pens which can only be a good thing ?
  16. Well this one was a hard fight, after walking around the shoot for almost 3 hours we headed back to the farm and this bitch was sat in amongst the cows, two squeaks on the caller and she trotted in to about 60 yards, so lights out, this was the only one we seen in 3 hours which seemed a little strange but it’s one less and we’ll just keep looking for them ?

  21. Keep trying mate, maybe one day you will look as cool ? as me, I’ve just got back from the sunshine this morning so there could be some pictures of me in my speedo’s Looking like a Greek god if you are lucky ?
  22. Good choice, I love my little T bolt mouse gun although it is no better than the cz .17 I’ve also got it is a bit posher, go for the 16” and put a slightly longer sound mod on it ( just to make it look better, dpt do a nice one for about £90 ) you won’t really notice the barrel flip on a .17hmr no matter the length, so you can’t blame that for any misses, also go for synthetic stock because they have a lovely little touch where another mag fits in the stock, as far as I know they do them in 16” and 22” I’ve never seen a 19”, when I got mine they only did it in 22” left handed so I had it cut d
  23. Very nice, it’s coming to that squizzer time of year for us around the shoot, there seem to be loads this year, I think I’ll have a bash at a few on Sunday when I’m back to normality, feeding up, for now I’ll have to put up with the 31•c and a night out loggerhead turtle ? watching ?
