  1. The problem with anything like this is that the voice/vote of the individual is worth zero. I went on the march in London about banning hunting which was one of the biggest protest marches ever, I've signed various petetions like this and even if you manage to get enough signatures it only means that it might be considered or discussed. When handguns were banned and automatic shotguns were restricted to 3 shots someone just rubber stamped it. Thats Democracy and that's why the country is in the turmoil that it is in.
  2. Yes point observed.I am incorrect in my mistaken statement. I correct that to. 99%. And I agree with your statement about the outdated barbaric nature and practices of a vast majority of Muslims. Perhaps they really need to be questioned about the reason that Women in particular seem to be downtrodden into submissiveness.

I don't know. Even the bargain basement primark work jeans have rocket up in price and the quality has fallen through the floor!! I only get a year or so out of them. Pretty bad really.
  4. A bit of a sweeping generalisation. That all Muslims are bad people. There's good and bad in all groups of people. There's white scum ( pikeys) who will rob you blind and there are bad people who are lunatic fringe Muslims. And there are kind decent people out there also who don't walk by on the other side of the road.
  5. Quote. "The Dickin Medal was instituted by the PDSA’s founder, Maria Dickin, in 1943. It is the highest award any animal in the world can achieve while serving in military conflict. Previous recipients include 32 pigeons, 31 dogs, 4 horses and 1 cat". >>> A CAT!!!!! That can't be right. They must be mistaken. Mountain rescue cat. >>> naah Guide cat for the blind. >>> Naah sniffer cat. >>> Naah. Vermin cat. >>> Possibly. Why did they assault the building putting soldiers lives and the life of the valuable animal at ri
  6. The car came with a reverse camera but although it is OK it is a bit of a distorted view and is only a guide. You do have to think about use of the mirrors as well and not rely on the cam.
  7. I've just bought the Mrs a new car and have fitted dash cams front and rear. I have gone for the nextbase cams. They are really good. we do have an issue with the sd micro card in the rear unit though. It was working and for no apparent reason it wouldn't record. A message came up "card full, format card". Doesn't seem to want to play so it looks like I'll have to get another card. I had one in the Garmin do the same thing. I have had a read up on the problem but it is complicated and often it doesn't seem to work. One for the geeks. I think that the one in the back is probably the most import
  8. When I was at school I had a pair of football boots with Eusabio's name on them. They had white soles and studs. They were the best. We used to try to match the top players scores each week.
  9. I remember a young bloke that was a fork driver and all of the subies were bunging him to move their materials. He was on about 5 times his wages in bungs. And another fork that was moving pallets of bricks off of site and down the road outside his house. The neighbours thought that he was building an extension or something. In reality he was advertising them in the local paper. He got caught out when he accidently dropped the keys of the forklift down the road drain and called a fitter from the plant hire firm out. The fitter turned up on site to get the machine going only for the bloke to ta
  10. Who are the best soccer players ever? None of these seem to have had a mention. Fame doesn't necessarily determine talent. I suppose that some of the following would be ok for a kick around in the park Pele, Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, Marco van Basten, Johan Cruyff, Franz Beckenbauer, Zinedene Zidane, Ronaldinho, Garrincha, Eusabio, ( my favorite), Ferenc Puskas, Rivelino, Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Gerd Muller, Thierry Henry, Roberto Carlos, jairzino, Gerson, Tostoa, Luis Figo, Rivaldo, Arjen Robben, Didier Drogba, Socrates, Jurgen Klinsmann
  11. Hi from another newbie. I shot at the mid wales ground a couple of years ago. Lovely people and a great ground in the green countryside.
  12. Somewhere in the attic I have got a couple of the old ally smaller milbro types. I hated the things. The thin section and the thumb grip was awful and difficult to control. Goodness only knows why people pay for them or why I have a couple of them and why they weren't launched into the bin.
  13. When I was a young a catapult was made by finding and cutting a forked branch of a size that suited the individual. I remember my brother heating a meat skewer to red hot in a fire and slowly burning a hole for the elastic to be anchored through. The elastic was bought from the local cycle shop. There were two sizes available 3/16 & 1/4. Square section. All I see today is round tube. Is the square section still available? If it is who/where it is available. My brother and brother in law were really good and could regularly shoot out a swan vestas match held between two others like goal pos
  14. That will give you a few hours reading. I've got one somewhere. Shooting pigeons hasn't changed too much over the years. Kit and tactics have changed but the birds are still interested in eating the crops and the guns and cartridges are still the same. I don't think that you would be able to successfully decoy birds with a bottle rolled in ash or the insoles of a pair of wellies like Archie did back in those days.
  15. Thanks for the welcome. I have been exploring the site and just having a look round. Where/how do I sort out a profile. Is there a members list. Can I search for posts/topics. I'll find the layout eventually.
  16. Hello members of the house. It's bonfire night and my spaniel just loves it. The dog insists on going out in the garden and watching for the next bang or rocket. I think that it is looking for the pigeons to fall so that it can go out and retrieve. I look forward to reading, learning and meeting some of you who post on here. Best regards Meece.
