A couple of my AyA no2 rounded action in 28

I stand by what I wrote. American shooters have lots of local rules that would seem Draconian over here. The vast majority of states have heavy rules on silencers and full automatic weapons. This is why they use bump stocks over there. The guys in this video are professional hunter guides doing hog clearance for a living. There are videos of blokes using machine guns out of helicopters slaughtering animals that can't get away. This ain't the norm for the general hunter in the US. I didn't realise how pernickerty some of their local laws are such as carrying guns in the front of vehicles along

The American don't think that we are allowed guns. And that we are all subservient to those who tell us what to do, think or say. Most of them aren't allowed to have or use silencers and they are not allowed to night shoot, so they haven't got any night vision ?

nice gun, nice view. that's my England. Are those binos Karl Zeiss 8X30s If so I have the same pair. Good glass.

It's the social expectation. You will comply.

Well, reading through the replies, there seems to be a fair amount of non involvement in a lot of cases. I just hate the fact of being hurded along by this sort of social expectation and the women getting into organisation stress mode and me being cast in the misserable git situation. All I want is a sensible, reasonably quiet day. Roll on the days after Christmas. I have decided to retire and a woman up the road who shoots very well wants a shooting buddy so I look forward to warmer days and lots of clays. And walking the dog into the sunset

Although there is a financial cost aspect, that is not really a concern. Basically the day seems to revolve around the blokes turning up and being here and the women getting into organisation mode and hurding the assembly to the desired place at that time in between meals of bloat portions. We, the blokes usually take the dogs out for a walk in the afternoon to give the dogs a bit of exercise and settle our dinner and slacken springs before going back into the melee. Luckily every year has gone off ok without any nastiness or conflict which could be a problem cramming so many people, children

Is it just me that feels Christmas stress !!!!! One of the daughters has rung up with suggestions of altering the whole seating setup and how Christmas day could be organised. Now she hasn't done this with any malice but as a helpful suggestion. Now we have to do a complete rethink about how everything works out. Now when everyone is here it is close on personal space. Every year I detest the whole thing of Christmas and wish we could be jetting off to find some sunshine and leave all of the madness and upheaval behind. Unfortunately it is me that gets made out to be the villain of the plot an

Ah the Christmas single, A good little earner if successful. Dragged out every year just like the decorations. I wonder if the royalties would be going to Mbongo or the Sally army or her pocket then to her lawyers to evict the Tennant's of her residence,

Yes, the above is true. I have seen pictures of gunmakers at Remington straightening barrels using a hand powered truing press. I can see images of someone weighing on a barrel and ending up with a 45° bent barrel. It would need a bit of hand and eye sympathy to feel the steel. Link to picture of jig. >>> https://goo.gl/images/BeSsKD

They. Do they produce a curly wurlie barrel to shoot snipe with? Sort of like a zig zag barrel and zig zag cartridges.to match. PS after a rethink I have ammended the above. The quality of Remington went downhill in later years.

Recently virtually every other advert on TV seems to be someone appealing on little Mbongo's behalf and for as little as xyz you can ensure that Mbongo has a very good leak up the wall on Christmas day even though his religion doesn't acknowledge Christmas day. Do any other countries have this sort of give to charity thing or is it just people in this country that are on some sort of publicity ego celebrity nonsense.

her tax advisers probably said that it was some sort of legal tax avoidance side step. will ricky be sending his beard over there to keep someone warm. it he leaves some biscuit crumbs ans pie remnants in there it will provide sustenance as well. The French wont want us sending coats over there because they will be fighting to donate their own coats. perhaps Lilly could go over and warm a few of those poor little refugees up to the nts

some of the sten guns used a spoon shaped deflector to try to combat muzzle climb

I was only joking when I said bend it down a bit. I can imagine the tube sort of crimp folding. Nahh I think the golf club idea is better. . Just shoot below the target. at long range the pattern will drop a bit. Lets have a little fun time. >>>> RIP Barry. The poor guy suffered a heart attack. A genius missed. >>> Dont try this sort of stuff EVER. >>>

Golf club? the thing about disposing of guns is that at some stage you say >>>"i wish I hadn't got rid of that old 410, I could do with that now to make an anti tank rifle or a spike to hold the garden fence up with" !
-
Club. I've never thought about or tested the accuracy of mine. I was given it and apparently it has taken hundreds and hundreds of birds off of boughs in the distant past by the blokes father and uncle. If only the gun could speak. The person that gave it to me is in his late 80s so goodness knows how old it is.
-
most of those old 410s were on the small size for concealment. you might find that if you were poaching out of trees that it hit the mark when fired straight up. do your test with a chunk of folded cloth on the but like a folded up scarf or something and see what the result is. you could tape a chunk of foam on it as an experiment. PS. put a picture of it on my show your guns thread. its good to see all sorts of guns.

Here's 5 silly options for you to consider 1. aim about a foot and a half low. 2. get a high front bead. 3. add some packing to extend the stock length. 4. bend the barrel down in a curve. 5. throw away and get a proper gun that fits you

Down here in south kent Its been Raining hard since early hours. the garden is awash in places. The dog was urgent to get out but was soon back in. Usually she either stands out there for an age sniffing the wind or trying to slide off round the neighbours. If this had been snow we'd be up to the nuts of the car. The novelty of snow soon wears off when you can't get to work and the heating bills etc start coming in. Roll on global warming. Sandy beaches, palm trees and summer holidays. https://goo.gl/images/DCKQ6R

Yep. That's what he was doing. Most of the mangled carcasses were dumped out at various places to act as Charlie bait, a few were kept for dog and ferret food and then the residue of blood and guts was washed out of the back of the pickup.

Garlic eaters !!!! Send em to Jesus. Revolting stuff. I remember going into WH Smith's one Christmas and it was shoulder to shoulder in there, except for one small circle around a couple of Chinese students. They must have been eating cloves of raw garlic. It was just like a solid force field around them!!! People were rushing into the space around them to get to the shelves and were being repelled like a reverse magnet. A neighbour used to come home from work and his Mrs was making dinner she was a keen garlic cooker. In the summer when she had the windows open it smelt like we were living n

My father sort of moved out to work away from mum and our family. They didn't divorce and neither took another partner but I never knew him as a father. He was never nasty to me but it was not nice to mum and all of us. We all went short in lots of ways both emotionality and materially. But as I am a parent and grandparent I know that he lost out on being a father to us and a grandfather to our kids. That was the price he had to pay for the actions that he undertook. When he died he went down the hole and I remember looking down on the box with no emotion at all. I might have been at the funer

No idea. He probably has a ten year supply of powder. He doesn't shoot much through it. His powder doesn't stink of garlic but someone to on here was eating it on his full English breakfast. That's just wrong.
