  1. Maybe the members on this site think harder before posting a response?..It just seems to me there is FAR less bickering and hostility here than on smoochers?...but i havent posted on smoochers for more than a year, so maybe its changed over there now?...who knows?...but because there is less bitching and bickering on here, i just assumed that it was better moderated?...im probably wrong though?...it wont be the first time!..lol.. Plus you know what they say..."Assumptions are the Mother of all f**k ups!"...lol. Kye..
  2. Probably saw the shadow of your nose, and figured a Heron flying above had just taken a shite... Kye..
  3. I thought you could only get on here if someone said you was sound?...I hope this site dont get like smoochers where every new person has to be treated with suspition for 18 months...then you find out there an Anti anyway!..lol..IMO, this site has MUCH better Mods and Admin, although the Admin are very unpleasant on the eye... :11: Kye...
  4. If you and Moll want to come over for a holiday, feel welcome!..lol...you two would fit in with some of the people in Vegas!...we see that kind of shit every day!.. :11: :11: Kye..."Its true, playing with yourself does make you go blind!"..lol.
  5. You cant beat a bit of "Girl-On-Girl"...lol. Kye.. PS...isnt it hard to type with one hand?!...
  6. Yeah, dont get me wrong guys...i like a little bit of shooting and i am CRAZY for squirrel shooting...one of the best quarry to hunt with a air rifle or rimmy IMO...I like going out know and then, and i will shoot when we go to places that are FAR to rough for the Staghounds...but give me a good day/night with Lurchers or terriers anyday!...you sometimes hear of guys who have a Lurcher, then maybe get a terrier or something, then when they f**k them up and realise they 'aint no dog man, they feel they need to buy exspensive rifles/shotguns to compansate!..lol...yet they still call themselves d
  7. Ive not shot any Praire dogs yet mate...FR has them running about all over his area!..LOADS of them...i wouldnt mind a day on them, even if it was just with the .22...its very popualr over here...there was a guy in Montana that shot a praire dog from 1000 yards!!!....he used a .300Win Mag...it took him 38 shots!...must of been the worlds dumbest Praire dog to sit around for that long...i think its some kind of world record now?... I only use guns when i have to Baldie to be honest...i know you gun lads like it, and i do enjoy a little shooting, but im a dog man...shooting things, imo, is jus
  8. Got a face like a Bull dog licking piss off a thistle..lol. Having said that, i 'aint no Oil painting, so i should shut up!..lol. Kye..
  9. Baldie, if your using the Fox-Pro and the Ruger .204, then you are bascily using the SAME rig we use for Gray and Kitt fox, and Bobcat...myself, i prefer the .22-250, but thats just in case summat "Bigger" comes in!..lol.. I wish you well with the new gear mate, and i sure do feel sorry for them foxs around your way....the Coyotes here go "Chicken Oriental" when they hear the Sernade!...they come running i can tell you....our usual sound is either of the jack rabbit ones or the wood pecker, then if they hang up we switch to the Rodent distress, or Prairie dog...good hunting mate. Kye..
  10. I agree!..we have used the Fox-Pro for two seasons know, and have killed a BUCKET load of gear with it...Bobcat, Coyote, Gray Fox, "Soul-Chickens" (Crows)...Baldie, do you have "WoodPecker-Distress"?...thats what we have killed most of our stuff with...a real magnet for predators....when i have the dogs a little fitter (should be about another two or three weeks...its getting hard with the weather) im going to try calling summat in for the Staghounds...we have just got about 100.000 acres of permission up north on a sheep station...so we are gonna go and have a small camping trip for three or

  13. I think its got a tiny bit of cattle dog in there as well as saluki and greyhound mate?...im not sure though?...killed some decent stuff as well at a young age. Kye..
  14. "Danny the Champion of the World" was a nice book... "Ring of bright water" and "Tarka the Otter" are still good imo....still cry my eyes out when Tarkas mum and dad die though..lol. "Kestrel for a Knave" is a classic...good when i got to see the film later on as well...of course the film was real old buy the time i see it when i was ten!..lol. What is it the older brother says?...when he tears the bed cloths off the young lad when there ion bed?...summat like "Hands off, cocks on socks!" or summat??...lol... :11: Kye..

    Moochers

Yeah, its a shame, but its funny how you could be at a game fair or country show, and meet someone and they would say "Hey, dont you go on smoochers?" then you felt like you had known each other for years, and had a right good time!..lol. If Moocher hasnt got the time etc, then its all for the best...all the other sites, in many ways are just little "Sub-Species" of the old smoochers...ive made some real good mates through that site... Long live "The Hunting Life"... Kye..
  16. Looks a funny thing that one Royst!..lol...hope this coming season she does well on them rabbits... Give us a ring sometime eh? Kye..
  17. Who the feck in there right mind would hook up with someone on the internet!?...Let alone on a hunting site!... :11: :11:
  18. The coat is a lot thicker, but that last picture of Reloads, that dog has a canny resemblance to my Staghounds!...The coat on my dog COULD be thicker, but 115F isnt the kind of weather to incourage a dog to try and grow a thick coat!..lol. The one quailty i realy like about Deerhounds, is IF you get one that bred right (a Cross or a Pure) they are VERY game, yet they remain very sensible and sane...none of this cartwheeling on the slip, etc...i know some lads like a keen dog to act keen aswell, but i have to admit i like that "Calm-before-the-storm" attitude that some Deerhound hybrids seem
  19. Im not slating any cross or hybrid guys, just trying to pass crap summer months with a decent chat about dogs.. Maybe another reason that Deerhound Cross' are not as popular is the genuine lack in WORKING deerhounds?.. If i was back home, i wouldnt own a Deerhound X Greyhound...the places i hunted where to small...but i would have a Lurcher with a bit of Deerhound in it...my mate had one of the best dog i have ever seen...Deerhound/Greyhound X Collie/Greyhound...it was a belter...killed everything single handed...it could be a shit with strangers though, but not a bad thing back home, imo.
  20. I tell you what mate!...it nearly kills me when i dig know...i was aching like a whore on pay day after that dig!..lol. Yeah i will give you a ring mate..i left a message the other day, but i laugh every time i hear your girl on the phone!..lol...shes a real cuttie!! speak soon mate Kye..
  21. Me myself, i dont prefer ANY type/breed of dog...what kind of dog i keep will depend on the quarry, and the terrain im hunting. When i was back home, Collie or Beddie Cross' where ideal, but they wouldnt be any good for where and what i hunt know!...thats why i dont own them. I can remember when i had a day out foxing with a mate of mine back home. He had a real nice first cross Deerhound/Greyhound called "Bess".. She was about 28" and i would guess70-80lbs?...Well my mate invited his brother in law along, and he had a Bull cross...i dont know what percentage, bothe parents where just Bu
  22. I will do Moll...me and FR should be going on a trip soon...She needs the work, thats for sure.. She is normally very calm in kennels, and around other dogs...but just lately, although NEVER starting a fight, she wont back down from one either...she needs a good dig on some big ole' Coon to calm her down a bit. I think me and FR might be digging in Kansas for our next trip, so she might get a go on the ever elusive american Badger...FR has a few black bitches roughly the same age, and they all need a good season this fall..plenty of work should calm her down...the sooner i move the better!
  23. Funnily enough, Bull hybrids are NOT popular over here (a country that has got some nice Bull types to use for breeding as well) although i think they use them for lamping Hogs sometimes in Texas. The Longdog type seems a lot more popular...they do carry Deerhound, some more than others...but they also carry other sighthound types (Borzoi, wolfhound, greyhound etc) Maybe these big ole' Bull cross' just cant hack the hard, gruling, long courses?...I dont think there running style helps them very much, they seem to kick the shit out of the ground when they run as apposed to floating over the
