Right guys, this happened about three weeks ago...i didnt want to post, as i have a few nice pics of it, but for some reason, i cant get the pics from the camera to the PC?...they will follow, as soon as i get the wife to have a look!..lol We set off around 9 in the evening, and got to the lake about an hour later. It was perfect weather, real still. There was my mate Ernest ("350lbs of Injun love"..thats what he says to the women anyway!...i just think he a fat b*****d!..lol.) my mate Marlo, and yours truly. Having sold my bow (lack of money!.. ) i had to use a friends bow. As it t

I dont think so...NO other dog we have has it, and we have about 11!..(THREE ARE MINE!...the rest are the goodladys)...I look at it two or three times a day, and it dosnt seem any worse?...its just stayed the same?...She dont bite at it, or scratch?...i will bath it, and see if it comes right...im not realy bothered, as it isnt spreading, and it dont cause her ANY discomfort...but if it isnt gone buy a week, or shown signs of improvment, i will get her to the Vet. Thanks all. Kye.. PS...its only 85F at noon anyway...another three months and it will be at a hellish 115F... :realmad:

I would LOVE to get a dog and bitch, from hard working stuff over here...But the price of them, plus the import is to much...especialy for dogs that might not work (earth wise) Kye..

Yeah Kane, as FR said...they seem to be at there highest peak, and yet everyone is trying to poison, trap, dog, shot etc these wiley ole critters!...As much as some people despise them, you have to take your hat of to them!...Nothing can keep them down...and in my eyes, they are the ultimate test for a Running dog! As for the states being the last strong hold for the working terrier?...imo, the show scene has already RUINED the Russell over here, and its starting with the Lakelands and such know...there are some people in the UK and Ireland that sell stuff over here, and bull shit about what

Well we took the kids camping at the Lake the other day...it wasnt real hot, but it soon warmed up, and in true Brit fashion, i managed to get a sun burnt face!.. ..After two days of being in close quarters with two kids and a truck full of terriers, i decided to have a nice quite stroll around the lake, and see if i could find any "Sign"..its a big lake, about 70 miles long...i didnt want to walk for nothing, so i took the little red bitch (Bricca) the Male Stag pup (Blister) and the Bitch Stag pup (Tor).. The edge of the lake is a funny sort of terrain, it has some terrible ground...some a

My good mate in Oaklahoma (he sometimes looks in on here) has a VERY nice pure breed greyhound...i have hunted with her, and she is a handy tool...she isnt that fast compared to some greyhounds, but maybe that is why she is SO useful?...of course she gets a few nocks and grazes, she is a Grey after all!...i saw her run in New Mexico, and was VERY impressed, very wise on jack rabbits (hare)... Kye..

Hi All,.. Ive noticed a very slight balding spot on my young Staghound bitchs neck?...It kinda looks "bare"...not sore...it isnt red, she isnt itching it, its not moist/wet...it almost looks like when you keep a colar on some dogs, and it rubs the fur off...if you part the hair, the skin does look slightly "Flaky"?...i was thinking give it a couple of days, and if it changes, get her to the vet...she has been wormed and flead...although we dont get skin parasites in the desert as it is far to hot (probably the ONLY good thing about Vegas,...Oh, and all the women with boob jobs! ) any ideas

Nice going guys!...Whats wrong with your finger Royst?...looks like its been bitten buy summat?..lol.. ...just back from California...its spring break over here, so there was to many crowds...we did try and find summat for the Stag male to run, but there where to many people taking fecking pictures of it!..lol...never mind...keep up the good work though...i can remember when we wiped that place clean of rats!...i once went four weeks without finding one there!...maybe its not that hard, the ole pest control game!...lol...glad you boys are enjoying a bit of sport, and finding work for the dogs

i let some people have all my best permission!..lol...glad you had a good do on that place...still plenty there then?...i can remember when i was hiting it every day...i had to leave off for about four months, coz we killed all the rats...we had some good days there with ole HOTWINGS...keep up the good work lads. Kye...

I would just be happy it didnt yap!..lol. Kidding aside mate, i would just say the bitch has "Rabbit-Fever"...it was probably as surprised as you where that it caught it...im sure she will settle down once she has a few under her belt...my old dog would mess about with the first one of the night, then he brought them back (after i had emailed good ole' Learner about fifty times for advice!..lol.) Good luck in the future, nice looking bitch. Kye..

Nice terriers there...good to have you hear. Kye..

Bloody hell that some dog Learner!.. I will have to get some of his "seed" sent over to line some staghound bitchs...he looks like he could do a bloody Coyote!.. Im glad your getting some rabbits with him...Like ive said, i REALY miss my ferreting...reading these little threads and seeing a few pics, makes me think of some off the fine days i had with that ole dog of mine...Keep up the good work mate.. Kye.. PS..them hints you gave me AGES ago (about retrieving) are paying off ten fold with these new dogs of mine...its nice to get advice from folk who know!

I like a big strong dog...been let down buy to many crappie little yappers that cant keep an animal bottled up...i still like a decent sized dog, and unless your digging Ground Hogs, i dont think you need a small one!...I have been with FR when we have dug to his black bitch Blanc on Possom and Gh...I have dug GH with my red bitch as well...there not real big, i would say there well put togther animals...the smallest is probably my wifes little white bitch...at a guess i would say 11" and 11lbs...but i dont know how she would do against a fox or big Coon?...i think if it wanted to run, it woul

Having hunted BOTH UK hares, and Jack rabbits, i would say the Jack rabbit is slightly harder to catch...i put it down to the VAST amount of predators out here...Hawks, eagles, two types of fox, Bobcat, Couger, two types of wolf, coyote..etc. Plus there is NO closed season, or bag limit, so they are pursued, buy many, all year around. (Not buy myself however) The terrain is also a main facter...running through acres of rock and cactus, is hardly what you want your dog doing for 4-5 minutes. Im not saying i agree with running a few dogs on a hare, each to there own. But imo, we shouldnt realy

Funny you should menstion that mate!...Our man ""Badger" has a few, and hunts wild hogs with them...he will be able to tell you all you want to know about these hounds...From what i have heard, they are a good bunch of dogs!...Im sure as soon as Badger sees this he will help you out mate! All the best... Kye..
