Interesting mate. IMO it appears like recessive white gene's aligned on "both" sides of the black dogs to produce a few white pups? I wonder would it come out if only one side had white stuff back in them if there has been black dogs in the line for a long time? the breeders on both sides should have an idea of where the white throw back came from if they have had the line for a time? Once they work who cares.

I agree that the trial for sounders were poor but it wasn't a rat and it wasn't in a cage and terriers often failed.that's not all the show is neil, there is alot of different things you can sign your dog up for. Looks nothing like an olde type Lakey,except some of the colour.Seriously if folk look at these type of pictures and imagine it represents the working lakeys that where evident less than 3 decades ago its a poor reflection on the lakey kennels now. Im a massive Lakey fan and don,t have much patience for any terrier that masquerades as anything other than a terrier,yet the mutt he depicted bore little resemblance to a olde type Lakey and thats a fact.If you quote old type depict old type and not another run of the mill working terrier that is bred towards a Lakey.If the lads mutts

I'm not sure what you mean. No body said that the village dog has become pure. You're putting words in my mouth. I'll try and explain my post as simple as possible. There is no breed of dog called a Husky. Husky is a native Inuit word for a village cur. OK ? The breeds of dogs known as Spitz and Malamute's are Kennel Club recognized but are not what Mushers use nowadays .OK ? Great condition and looks a great set-up. I noticed you even put a concrete block on the outside to shorten the initial fall for when they start venturing out. you appear to be someone who takes plenty of notice of their stock from the very start right through. well done mate.

Good post. A few lads on here should have a good careful read of this mate. Some either don't know how to mange their stock on a daily basis, enter their stock or look after their stock after work.

couldn't stick the MK3 deban. Its a bit of a dinosaur. The pieps and barryvox gear is far better and more reliable on your trusted workers.

To me its all about the breeding. I've tried breeding best to best of two cracking workers who were unrelated and had loose breeding on the sires side. Offspring were pure muck. Better off sticking to lines, families or strains. Much better % in litters IMO.
