    hahah trust me they arent always that good, its something iv really focussed on cause i cant be having the pup gobbling up tablets not meant for her. plus they get a treat afterwards and shes very food motivated

    but isnt that more about territory and food, is the average pet dog worried about having his pedigree mixers stolen by mr fox? i suppose it could be the same thing just in their genes to get rid of the fox and something that could be taking up their food sources

    anyone got any unusual commands they use just to make life easier not just for coursing? ill start it off with one im working on with the pup now, "open"(mouth) and for a hand signal i do the one people do for like blah blah blah. iv got a terrier with epilepsy so she needs a half tablet morning and night but ever since i got the lurcher pup she thinks she is missing out on some kind of treat every morning and night so she is dieing to get at the tablets i couldnt just put in the food or push it down the terriers throat cos she is a bugger for hiding it in the lips,gums and beard. an

    iv never understood how dogs see fox as a natural quarry, without any training, even non working pets is it something they pick up in the scent? or in their genes?

    is there anything i can do to stop the pups ears from folding over all the time? she doesnt care but it drives me insane, every 5 mins if its not the left or right its both! lol no complaints shes my first lurcher (6month) and only thing letting her down is her owner haha. someone told me when they get a bit bigger and heavier they will lie better. but its not improved since i got her. not really an issue but it cant be nice in the howling wind without the flap over the lug hole so to speak. i should probs just leave it and let her shake it right or if she doesnt care, she doesn

    im in south yorkshire and i wouldnt like to say there are tonnes cos im only a young lad and never saw it back in the day but i have plenty in my little area, not tonnes on the farms but there is always something about just mooching round. walked onto a public field tonight i think i counted 8 in one corner and about 4 in the other end of the field, about 6 runnables in about 45 mins including time between spots. big ones too,

    if i have a pup that has never seen a ferret but is well socialised with cats could this "skill" transfer over to ferrets? we have a really grumpy cat and the pup completely understands the boundaries of what is acceptable or not (dont go within slashing distance lol) she doesnt chase cats we come across on streets although i couldnt be sure she wouldnt on a field or something over a longer distance, what i am trying to say is she doesnt show the same game drive she would to a rabbit/squirrel/small bird/leaf in the wind lol

    try going whie its raining or very windy sounds simple but all this summer i have been lure angling perch on a pond near me and they have always taken the bait but recently they just tailed off, tried a few new lures and it gave a little bitg more results but nothing like it has been like. but now iv started to get out in the bad weathe rmore, bagging up again, i think its to do with the fry, but who knows
