  1. Its hard if you don't breed the litter yourself and go in cold, usually a litter of 9-10 pups 1or 2 are really the only ones worth keeping. If a friend bred the litter its a good chance he'll steer you in the right direction. If you do go in cold what i do is temperament test a shy dog is a dead dog here, then confirmation for the job it will be doing, coat next and then color. I use to never take a whit dog as it got me in trouble but where I live now it doesn't matter.
  2. Every thing here. But coyotes rule the prairie. Allot of Jacks{ black tailed} here but they live in cover hard to run in daylight, lamp works. Foxs are thick in some spots but usually around population so the coyotes don't eat them. Wolves are getting braver and braver here also but we don't have the dog power lol. we think we do but we don't.
  3. No a single handed Stag is a rare thing. That white dogs father was, I'm thinking 1 in 1000 or even 10,000. Takes allot for a stag to have a hard run and have enough juice to snuff one out by himself. Few more pics
  4. Steady and TC, Very nice pics.Muddy is looking good.
  5. out of trouble some what lol. Went out today with Uphill and brought a 13 year old boy from town with me that got his first Stag this summer. We saw a double and dumped Cracker and my two pups. Cracker was pretty much by himself as my two played grab ass. The second one we dump another pup of mine and Uphill's Hoss and "T" it was one of the best races since I've been in ID. For a good 20 seconds I thought they are never going to catch this one....it was nothing fancy but straight on power as they wore the coyote out! they turned him 3-4 times and Hoss put him down. Thanks Uphill for the day an

  7. are u serious about that 33ft any pics I do but I have to find a scanner and load them. Smudge it was long dont get me wrong but it was on the level into a bank not down , big difference and we had 15 people at least. One thing it was though DANGEROUS I was waiting for someone to get caved in on as it was allot of sand.
  8. Sometimes I think its not the bull blood but the people that own them..... looked down upon as counterfeiter not a hunter. Not my opinion just a vibe I get especially in this country.
  9. 7-8 ft by myself, 12 ft with a partner and 33 ft with a bunch of helpers going back into a bank of running sand.
  10. I've seen dogs bred both ways hunt.Nothing i would want to drop into a line unless it was a proven producer but more of take out and enjoy type terrier.
  11. Griz-Hunters the guy who bred this dog is a hog hunter. Tidy -coyotes and badgers
  12. I picked up a Staffy about a week ago. Hunting fool and a real nice handle on him. He can cover ground, 5 miles of his today. I dont see him lagging behind the horse this winter.

  14. If you bred like your life or bank account depended on it , I would imagine be allot less name chasin and papers wouldn't mean shit lol. Anyone who preachs to me about breeding I ask what have they done or produced? If they ever had a top racer or trial dog. If you follow the NGA breeding info here you'll see allot of top kennels rarley inbreed but look for the"nick" breedings and almost never breed away from the top 5 studs at the moment.
  15. My buddies pup and what we call a fox terrier. Most working stuff is located in the mid-west of this country.
