    Harrisburg is the closest "big" city to him I think he's 4-5 hrs from Pittsburg.

    I try to stay away man handling dogs especially sight hounds and really with collie lurchers. Its a no win situation.But I'll hammer a dog for aggression towards other dogs or people.

    Speakin of havin their shit pushed in, I mean back door smashed in. You should talk you cousin lovin sumbitch I know for a fact you had Mexican sack in yo mouf fatty I dont know about deer over there boys but here you have to have a dog that is commited 100% and it helps that they know were to put the ivory because you wont have a second chance. Collies Xs were good when they were good, but most of the time they were to smart for their own good I've have been told.

    Like Dan said it's a huge differnce between a Snow shoe Hare a White Tailed Jack, Black Tailed Jack even a Antelope Jack. I've run snow shoe, cottontail rabbit white and black tail jack. Snow's live in the north country in heavey timber mostly in pine forrest, deep snow and the chance from brown to white. cottons,B&W jacks dont to the best of my knowlage.Beagles are the prime source of hunting them and is big bussiness.     IDE- No not at all. I had him around all kinds of livestock he never paid any mind even in OK. while hog hunting. I moved out here and blam he is likeing the cows. This is my neighbor's bull that busted out today and was wrecking fences and making himself a pain in the ass. I collard him up and said "get him" and he did. I had a pit there to and she in the end was getting it to lol. You could 1/2 ass work cows with this dog I think no problem. _Stunt

    I hunted pure and 7/8th ,I was lucky as both dogs were very good at there jobs. But both constantly when hunted hard had the typical high % Greyhound problems, were the 3/4 and 5/8 didnt. I would stick with a 3/4 type bred stud and pick the pup or pups wisely.

    Dry warm draft free whelping box kenneled alone. Let her eat the placentas. Worm HER the day after pups are born with Pyrental paramote, pups at two weeks and every 10 days till homed. Dew claws tails depending on the breed at two days.Dryfood/water 24/7 while the shes nursing flesh i ya got it is good to. When weening her off the pups I dont feed Her for at least 48 hours, just water so milk production stops and eclampsea dosnt set in. dob 5/4/11

    Had some collie/DH/IWH dogs a while back that were pretty bad to LOOK at. Not my Idea of of a cat like foot. But they never really got injured. As of late some Staghounds are showing some bad feet but they dont last long if hunted much out here.

    If you guys ever had the pig bomb go off like we have here and in Oz. Those goverment officials would be passing laws so fast it make your head spin.     IDE- here are few of my vids nothing special just to get an ide He just busting my balls Doc has owned allot of yellow "curs" in his life time Seriouly its really color prefrence, I dont like the yellow curs as they reming me of a lab and mostly thoese Kemmers come yellow.But if the stand out pup in the litter is yellow that color takes a back burner to the performance end.

    Guys your pretty much point on, the term "cur" comes from the English term curtailed. You got taxed on any dog with a tail from what I understand. Curs are bred two ways here imo. Seriously and what ever. Some follow papers and peds while a hog hunter might just breeds to a friends "good" dog. Lines/strains are kemmers, mountain, stephens and a few others. Alot of hound/curs cross dogs are bred then put back in the respective line like anything else then papered...You know how it goes, so its a safe bet just get one from someone who is puttin the meat up. feck the papers.     Had my first litter today 11, 10 alive. I've only hunted them on bears and cows so I'm looking foward to seeing how they do on Mountain lion and bobcats out here.

    A good dog man or even a 1/2 assed one dosnt waste time with a pup that isnt bred decent to start. Even putting your best foot foward as we all know it dosnt work out. Then they know when its time to cut and run. That being said I've seen first hand allot of men ruin dogs that could have been great including myself in 1000s of different ways. Worst thing that can happen to a dog is get an owner that thinks he's got it locked down and isnt 1/2 hard on himself as he is on the dog.

    Your stock broke dogs aren’t stock broke My old dog got knocked the F*CK out! Calves running, cows running at break neck speed across the desert with Stags hanging tough I had two Kemmer Curs with me and they would have gave a mediocre Collie a run for their money as they bay and circled 30 head across a 4 miles of canyons and bluffs I was watching my bank account drain as they disappeared into the sun set. Thankfully no cowboys were around or I would have been burring dogs instead of typing.
