  1. Neil I hear ya, the music kinda ruined it but that hump back was a decent size by the looks...I coudnt take my eyes off him lol.
  2. NE-Very nice looking animal. I've kept them for a long time, I'll be sadden when my last one goes. But with all X's its getting it from the right stock. Raised right, handled they are a hard X to beat. My favorite is the 3/4 cross... bunnies to bears here in the states.
  3. This animal is at top of the food chain here. I thought I'd share this as its somthing you dont see often. I'm still trying to figure how they pulled the hounds off lol.
  4. Cant dispatch a coyote by its self.......LOL
  5. I like 3/4 grey hound to a 1/4 anything as a good grey is a machine and the ultimate hunting dog but with several shortfalls. That ¼ blood depending what you’re using the dog for makes up some of those shortfalls, but you have to start off with the best stock on both ends and it doesn’t hurt to know a little about greyhound bloodlines.
  6. Friends I have.... a few anyway. We trade dogs, pups and stud fees back and forth all day long. But these "friends" I have with out a doubt know when its time to pull the trigger and fire a dog. In the end we all have some what of the same goal and to give a someone a cull never mind a friend is pretty bad , like a buddy slappin your wife on the ass lol.
  7. Take mine off at 2 days with a hemostat. It to hard to explain with you not standing in front of me while I'm doing it. Not stitch just crush and pull and I do it to hounds, and all my sight hounds.
  8. Good bitch entered in a tough spot I dug all day and most of the night listening to her crys till they faded away. I came to a impass that could not go on futher without machines. The land owner {state of N,J.} would not give permission after two days of solid work. I had to pack up and walk away that was very hard.
  9. Nice flashy bitch. good luck with her.
  10. Last few dogs pictured single look like they make some hog dogs if anything, good luck.
  11. First let me say I kept Hancock dogs for twenty years and your mate good luck with the pup. Next is no one breeding, raising or training anything has 100% track record with dogs, chickens, horses or any othe performance animal. Not a knock on your mate but you cant take turd and polish it into a diamond. Keep in mind the % of getting a "good one" out of a litter is slim or every body would have them, some are just happy with what gets them by, in fact im sure right now I have a bunch of culls and dogs that will get me "by" outside right now. My fingers are crossed I might even have a rockstar
  12. Ice I see, do you feel the mix needs to be thinned or is it a speed issue that you would go with a straight sighthound?
  13. but i find on the really warm days the dogs find it hard even just out for a walk for an hour or 2 so i reckon a couple of hours under ground working really hard game on a really warm day would be a lot harder work than a cold wet day in the middle of december but would you give up on a dog that came off it's game on a warm day or would you leave it and try again in the winter I see what your saying. I'm probably using the wrong terms but I'll give it a shot. When a dog in the winter is comming off a season I believe IMO that he's winter blooded. thick blooded and use to the cold temps.I
  14. I've spent thousands with Therapist, neurologist, psychologists and massage parlors to build my self esteem up, now this? I feel like shit all over again. I’m nothing……
  15. Keepin the cross straight? I have little or no experience of breeding like this , so my question is are the dogs in the end better than just keeping the cross straight? I’ve seen pups and adults that are ¼ bull ¼ DH, ½ whip and every other imaginable cross, but are they any better than dogs bred up traditionally like ½, ¾ , 7/8 with just 2 breeds involved?
  16. L330- Here in the states with people who dig to there dogs, especially in the East the season goes all year round.Hunters might take a week or two off in spring when some of the ground hogs {woodchucks} are having young or to give a dog a rest. So if they are good ones they shouldnt jack ever. If he's quitting in the summer sure are shit going in the winter. IMO
  17. Just missed it.........................by 6 years ......lol Dave B Very funny! but feckin sad that must of ben somthing back in the day, I use to get it on DVD/tape every year and watch them.
  18. I think he 7 or 8. He overheated and never got right. I aint sure what was the deal. Other dogs were nowhere near hot like him and they went alot further. I did some research on the physiclogical symptoms that come from overheating after SC lost Bull a few weeks ago. One thing for sure is if we are to run dogs in the next few months I’m keeping DEX on hand. It will help a dog get around the corner if given in time.
