    advise needed

This is purely my personal opinion but my redtail is like a fhh with a turbo Hes somewhat bolder and flies harder at prey but hes not as lithe as my fhh. Hes very much a buzzard with added oomph! Trouble is ive only got 1 redtail and several hh's so maybe my comparison isnt very accurate. Also my hunting fhh is creche reared and the red is parent reared so again a different cup of tea lol A female redtail seems to be a rather different story and requires a different level of competence. I think id describe my red as an arsy sod where as the fhh is biddable at any weight.. Might be an idea to

    My new prison

dont take it the wrong way mate but it just looks very small an dark i no a fair few lads who keep all sorts of hawks an they have all got some kind mesh up on the roof an at least 2sides 11ft wide X 7ft high X 7ft in depth is a substantial size. And mesh on an aviary isnt actually recommended due to the possible damage to the birds cere and feathers. Bars are the way these days. Its really good to exchange these ideas and question what people do though

  16. The best Cross is a Greyhound/Collie (border Collie) because as you say you have the speed and brains supplied by the collie. Collies are the MOST intelligent of all working dogs. I have been hunting for over sixty years (including Poaching) and the collie cross is the easiest to train and they have a NATURAL instinct to control the quarry. They respond immediately to whistled instructions. When poaching they will circle the field and drive the quarry to gate nets or snares on command. Good info My whippet X collie is a dream to rabbit with... shes way ahead of me in the'know how' and

    Mews Floor

Mesh has its place and is going to be alright in some aviaries and with some birds but its best avoided when you've alternatives and as already advised vertical bars are ideal. Its heartbreaking watching as your bird grabs mesh and its lovely tail and wing tips get crushed between the mesh and it ends up with a loo brush instead of a tail  With the bars they are far less able to grab onto them like a parrot might and so the damage is avoided to a much lesser degree. Mesh is also not good if the bird flies into it and its cere gets grazed and split. Its nice when the bird looks 100% a
