just my tuppence on .22l/r ,CCI seg in the engine room fox drops and as the round splits into 3 less chance of rick "o"shay and more internal damage and like Stavross i prefer .243 for jack of all trades .Too many issues whith hmr split cases and cost per round round .But if im after rabbits and mr Reynard appears a quick mag swap to segs from cci hp sees to the fox atb -

Cracking Stav ,fine shooting on a target as small as Corbyns brain

Bit of a mish mash day only 5 beaters and 6 guns wet,damp and cloudy but no rain .Only 1 pigeon ,1duck and 11 pheasants but we had runners and high birds and a nice nosh . An anticlimax but still piss was taken ,shots were fired and nobody went home without a grin .The ground was lethal slippy ,mud leaves brash and slime as its been wetter than Corbyn on a Wednesday ,still we had a decent day and the dogs earned their crust as most birds were flushed from deep cover .

Out Saturday hope its a bit drier than the okie fenoky swamp this time ,drizzling wet at the minute so its not looking good but heho the birds will be in cover and sitting tighter than a Scottsman on rent day so fingers crossed for the bag

Yep same issue dem naughty germans had in dat dere russia ,ordnung states oil everything but cold ,heat dirt all jamm things up and when 1 million Russkys run at you you dont need a jammed automatic weapon .We in the green light oiled but then wiped down with a rag so only residue remained to stop binding when hot from automatic fire and stop crud jamms .As per sound advice from the S/D and remember Wd 40 Is a moisture repellant not a lube atb

Yep Losarten for me and amlipodine and im a non never smoked ,give up the weed mate dad bless im aged 53 told stop or be dead in six months and he lived to 71 .He jus stopped ,no patches or nicotinell just cold turkey and it worked . My old n venerable P/H .243 used to random fly till i you tubed how to bed it down and now its sound ,im not but the rifle is .Worth eliminating any extrenous issuses before altering your loads imho.That S/D fella knows a lot more about bang sticks than i do and makes total sense in his ideas atb

Well a day o seasons ,rain,snow,hail,bright sunshine and 33 birds quite good for ou little shoot but the weather was demented and now its peeeinnggg down sideways again .still a nice pre christmas meet up ,chinwag and a good bit of snap

We are on Saturday ,forecast wind rain and blooming cold so expecting high flyers but Sunday here the snow is due so nice if it settles .But the cold wind is going make them sit tight in i reckon theyl be some startled beaters when they explode out of peoples feet
