Very very rarely il set foot in a vets my uncles been at it 50 odd years and we self treat most stuffthat's what I'm saying. I keep Hounds. My father have lurchers n Patterdales. Very rare we in vets. And theyre well worked hounds and patterdales don't go as fast as a lurcher and not in the dark sometimes either.[/quote I Said we had lurchers aswell. Wats with all the vet bills lads? Honest question. Working dogs basically scince a child and only been a handful of times.

Funk that. Get meat from the knackery 20a week. Does my pack. Only have vets bills occasionally. I keep 12 hound types. Beagle/foxhound etc. I keep the dogs wormed and can pick up sheep dip handy. So some them prices are madness

for once I agree with you lol. Don't know anybody that does a bit of everything regularly. We hunt foxes each weekend. Anything else bolts and a lurcher lad slips he won't be there the following week. I'm sure lads will disagree.

Your right. I was worried about them being thick set. As there's a lot of bull in the bitch. But there's 5/6lads run lurchers to foxes bolted with a small pack. And I seen the bitch work for past two seasons. So I said I'd take the chance breeding two workers rather than breed to a bitch that I hadn't seen. Plus all pups were kept in our own group.
